Chuck helped and looked after conflictive teenagers, unlike Arnie and the likes, who only look after themselves.

Perhaps "Screw your freedom" Arnie could get a command position in a neo-nazi organization? It might provide some viral, sensationalistic press, huh?

I read Sipes committed suicide. He did a lot as a role model. I think being constantly immersed around what he saw depressed him to that point. I met a social worker in my area decades ago who was a NYC police officer, retired after 22 years and took up social work in his 40's to help society. The stress gave him a heart attack at 49.

I think stress is a big contributor to MDs dying at average age of 58, compared to the normal average of 76 or whatever it is (I know it's over 70). IMO, they wake up at some point and realize that they are caught between a rock and a hard place - the choice being to continue to make money by prescribing drugs and treatments that are killing the people they had originally desired to help ..... or ..... stop being a hypocrite and risk losing their license, income and status to start over.
"To thine own self be true." Hamlet, Act 1, Scene 3, Shakespeare
I read a quote, that I liked, a few days ago by Socrates, "I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think."

Relax....you get X number of heartbeats, and that's it The only guarantee is that we will all die Live your life, enjoy your life and don't obsess over health, politics and all the other bullshit We live in a world that is bombarded by bad news....and we have no control over anything except how we react to it I've seen so much about "stress" and people "suffering from PTSD" etc in recent times....and guess who is profiting ? The "counselors" What did these people see or do that makes them so wise in the ways of human wisdom ? Life is short and sometimes hard....that's the way it is....period Don't sweat it No one has ever died with the words, "Sure glad I didn't eat that hot dog, hamburger, drink that beer or smoke that joint etc" on their lips Do what makes you happy and your life enjoyable.....we're all in that line to die...and the line gets shorter every day

That is so sad. What a waste. All that he accomplished, both for himself and in serving the needs of others, I'm mystified how he could not have a sense of fulfillment, but I'm outside of his life experiences. I've known a couple people who have committed suicide and it has always been an unpleasant surprise and a mystery to me about how they missed all of the wonderful details there are to be appreciated about life, even in the most awful, horrible situations (which they were not even experiencing). HERE is a write-up about Chuck Sipes from August 6, 2019, including comments by Norm Komich.

Sipes got a medical discharge from the US Army due his chute not opening properly resulting in extensive head, spine & leg injuries. He took up bodybuilding as a remedy which served him well. He suffered from seizures long after that. He suffered increased pain & grand mal seizures in silence with advanced age. He got tired of it & committed suicide.

Every time someone claims not feeling well mentally or physically, there is a lawyer waiting to make a case. Some are legit, but most are so stupid. Spill coffee on yourself in McDonalds drive thru...get millions = the American way. Never would happen like this outside this country.

I’ve always been quite fond of the saying “Wet birds don’t fly at night”.
