Fans? I have fans? Whoa! That makes me a bit uncomfortable, Bruv, m8.
To your query, yes, indeed there is fitness stuff in the Bible ........ like walking, dancing, loaded carries for many miles, fasting for up to 40 days, eating real food/avoiding fake food, etc, and random comments that physical exercise is definitely beneficial. A useful health tip might be to know that unless you are Officially authorized, DO NOT touch the Ark of the Covenant under any circumstances .... or you're dead. (And, YES, that means 'don't touch it' even to steady it if it is falling off an ox cart, m8s!)
However, I titled this thread to be about "Words Of Wisdom From The Past" without the qualification of relating it to fitness specifically, and for that I have at least 1/3 of the Book to post ...... and possibly the entire Book, depending upon how one views "wisdom" and/or how one defines "the past". If I had intended this thread to be words of wisdom specifically about fitness, I would have posted it in the "Discuss Fitness" forum ...... at least, I think I would have.
Anyway, thank you for your question. How'd I do?

Anyway, thank you for your question. How'd I do? I remember seeing ads in magazines in the 70's/ 80's (?) about how to build strength like Samson. Here it is.... "The Strength of Samson How to Attain It “Strength Secrets of the Biblical Samson” by Michael H. Brown" Here are some aspects... "A complete guide to the Nazarite diet. The truth about vitamin dosage and the risk of overdosing. Whole chapters on losing weight, fasting, water and herbs. Samson’s dianabol is found on your grocer’s shelf. An explanation of what to eat and how to eat it for the fastest route to muscular growth. An explanation of the dangers of alcohol consumption in biblical times. Giving Your Strength to Women – learn how having sex effects muscular development. An easy way to bulk up using the author’s training routine and nutritional recommendations. The benefits of the sauna bath and how it can improve your endurance during training. Learn about miracles of Zone Therapy. The proper way to perform the Breathing Squat and the effects it has on chest development. Training the chest and increasing your lung capacity for incredible health. The incredible results that can be obtained from cable (chest expander) training. The role that the feet play in developing the muscles of the body. Forced Reps, the single most important method for success. Four irrefutable facts and five misconceptions about gaining weight. Tips, tricks and techniques with partial movements and power rack training. Time tested methods for grip, wrist, and forearm development." Found on superstrengthtraining.com/strength-of-samson-michael-brownJust found this as well..

I agree with this guys evaluation of Mike Brown's books. I consider them entertainment, not for obtaining info you can rely on.

You didn't need to quote that entire list of 'fitness and wellness' quotes to add that "confucius quote" - which is unrelated to the "fitness and wellness" list - 'guest' m8, since this thread is titled "Words Of Wisdom From The Past".

I read Sipes committed suicide. He did a lot as a role model. I think being constantly immersed around what he saw depressed him to that point. I met a social worker in my area decades ago who was a NYC police officer, retired after 22 years and took up social work in his 40's to help society. The stress gave him a heart attack at 49. That is so sad. What a waste. All that he accomplished, both for himself and in serving the needs of others, I'm mystified how he could not have a sense of fulfillment, but I'm outside of his life experiences. I've known a couple people who have committed suicide and it has always been an unpleasant surprise and a mystery to me about how they missed all of the wonderful details there are to be appreciated about life, even in the most awful, horrible situations (which they were not even experiencing). HERE is a write-up about Chuck Sipes from August 6, 2019, including comments by Norm Komich. His suicide might have been the result of issues relating to a parachute accident in the army. From Bill Pearl (Link: Bill Pearl on Chuck Sipes ):

"The universe is born." ".....born"?

It's a figure of speech... "A Star Is Born"...

The "figure" of "speech" became a substance. "Born", of what?
Between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2, there is no time specified. Could have been billions of years by our clock. ("For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night." Psalm 90:4 A "watch in the night" is 3 hours. According to that, just 24 hours could cover 8,000 years. There is no time in eternity.)
In fact, no time is specified in Genesis until "the first day" is mentioned ..... but a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day for God.
(All ESV translation)
Think about that.

No offense intended, but I read both the old and new testaments and consider them the greatest crocks of total bullshit ever 'created' (born?) by mankind...
