I wish I could eat boiled or baked potatoes but I just don't like the taste. They make me gag, ever since I was a kid. When I was a kid IO would puke every time I ate them. I remember Pierini mentioned eating them cold. So I tried them a couple of times. I had to put salt on them but it was not enjoyable for me. Yes they are satiating but I couldn't eat them for the rest of my life. Mr.P Thanks for posting that, very informative.

Michael there is one way I think you might like. Cut the potatoes into super thin slices. Put it mixing bowl with olive oil, salt and Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Coat everything real well. Put in oven on baking sheet with parchment paper at 375. Cook 35 to 40 minutes flip over half way through. Time may depend on oven. They are baked, crispy and delicious

When I was reclaiming my fighting weight a couple years ago and dropping weight and fat, I did lots of naked boiled potatoes, eating them cold the next day after being overnight in the refrigerator.
I'd take 4 to work and that was about 440 calories (the golden ones were my favorite.). Can't think of any other food where 440 calories would leave me full and satisfied.
Bottom line, mission was accomplished. Got about 8 to 10 in my refrigerator now.

My personal diet has slowly evolved to the following main foods:
Beef (and assorted red meat) Chicken thighs Fish (salmon/sardines/mackeral) Butter Potatoes Milk (Fairlife brand with half the sugar and no lactose)
I never ate a lot of potatoes as a kid, only in the last six months have I really incorporated them. I have no desire for fruits or veggies. Potatoes being tubers I would imagine our species survived on them a lot when the mammoths were scarce.

The taters keep it moving. When I went full Carnivore I would go days without a good blowout, which is definitely a foreign concept.
