When I had my chest & head embolisms my doctor prescribed simply doing house chores like mopping & sweeping floors, shaking out carpets which I still do to this day. It’s not about how many calories u burn; it’s about how high u raise ur heart beat for X time. To wit: u have Tabata protocol which last only 8 minutes or so in total but the efficacy is spectacular. Raising ur heart-rate high enough jacks up ur body’s thermostat which in turn burns the calories all day long not necessarily the exercise itself. Intensity is relative. While my entire body may tremble picking up a 2kg weight, Magnus may crush out a cigarette, bang out a set of heavy squats, quaff down a mug of trans-friendly Bud Lite & perform another heavy set.I put out my last cigarette at 7:15am on Monday, June 28th 2004 after chain smoking 3 Marlboro's... I've recently broke my washing machine and waiting for the new parts to arrive to fix it, I'm washing clothes by hand atm and after washing heavier towels and blankets i feel as if I've done a full body workout pumped and sweating like crazy.
