Did an 8:00 Asian Squat today which is a new best for me. It was tough at the end. My journey continues. Do u perform any mobility exercises after doing that asian poop squat?

Nope but I do some preparatory work before. I didn’t do a good job doing so the previous workout to this 8:00 hold and paid the price. That workout was supposed to be 15 rounds of 0:50 squat bottom hold with 0:10 stand up and shake it out recovery. I threw in the towel after 7 rounds. Lesson learned. For me, best post-effort is standing up and walking.

I'm pretty careful as a rule as I had embolisms. So, Olympic snatches or moving tractors is out. Cow bell time. I like this asian squat routine. I'm doing duck walks afterwards. Is that retarded?

My grandsons can duck walk for serious duration effortlessly. Not me although I suppose with practice, I could. Will pass on that pursuit.

Did a 6:00 Asian Squat on New Years Eve before throwing in the towel. Every day is different and so will be my timed max effort. Hope to pull off a 9:00 in January.

Did a 9 minute Asian Squat today for a new personal best. Will upload video evidence on my YouTube channel later. To be distracted by the drudgery, I read three reflections from my two books. That was a good idea. Think I'm good for a 10-minute hold in the next two weeks. I probably could have done it today but, hey, I wanted to save something for the next time. Closing in on my two oldest grandsons who recently did 10-minute Asian Squats then jumped up like a frog which is something I can't do.

I always have iPad in hand when I do these. I’ve done 10 minutes before, and can stand up unassisted, but it takes about 15 seconds before I can start to walk again.
These days I just do 3-5 minutes, more as a stretch than anything else.

Think I could even take a run or do a dozen burpees. Go figure.

I stand there for about 15 seconds, take a few steps, than return to normal. Before i come out of the squat, I take a few deep breaths, brace and hold my breath, then slowly stand up, releasing the breath as I break inertia.

Something to view after you’ve watched the paint dry on the wall.

This was yesterday morning upon awakening which is the time of the day when my body often feels like an old rodeo cowboy and my knees are still sleeping.

Did a 10:00 Asian Squat today for a new personal best. That's as far as I'm taking it as far as time goes. I want to thank MBS for the 10:00 carrot. It took me slightly more than one month to hit it. The first time I tried, I did 2:00 and then started to train for duration.
I'll continue doing them because I see the benefits except now I'll do some leg tests to learn of the carryover benefit. I really haven't directly worked my wheels lately but I know they've been worked since doing the Asian Squats. I'm going to do some double 24kg KB squat work to test myself. Stay tuned for a report of the carryover benefit.

I feel my age in the morning, and can’t do a damn thing until my morning black coffee is pulsing through my system.

I could have gone longer. The work I did had early morning carryover benefit, it would have been a whole different story 6 weeks ago. I would have injured myself. Now working on pull-up hang hold time. I’ll have more to share later but I’m training to take my hang times (not great) to the next level.

Hadn’t done any longer timed holds in the Asian squat for awhile, so I decided to test myself. Did an 11 minute hold, and it was surprisingly easy to stand up and begin walking immediately, much better than after my 10 minute hold months back. This is a PB for me
