Yes it is, isn't it mikey ? Wonder where we've heard all that before ? "Greenwood explains. “Trump speaks power to truth.” Since his election in 2016, Trump has told more than 18,000 lies without acknowledging or apologizing for any of them. The frequency of his lies has risen from five per day in the first year of his presidency, to more than 23 a day during 2020. For Trump, lying is second nature. Facts are simply are obstacles to be batted away when they contradict his preferred fictions." Oh dear, does that mean Trump is a chronic liar ?

I hate to say it but much of the stock u place in sources that state that Trump is a chronic liar or whatever negative attributes u wish to assign to him are utter hypocrites. As reasoning adults of average intelligence all know, u can't trust a hypocrite because ur unsure of their veracity & disingenuous motives. One only needs to look at both sides of the political aisle & see how they address the pandemic of rioting in the USA. It's pathetic & irresponsible. Even the Vice-President is to be censored for his disingenuous remarks about it. Trump is vilified for his remarks addressing the riots & other national events but he is intellectually honest & speaks what he really believes in. He hasn't changed track nor has he done so in all his years of chronic lying charges leveled by you. For a liar, it's curious how he stays on topic & never varies? The same cannot be said for any of the loyal opposition to Trump AND! including his allies. They burn ppl in courts by successfully impeaching the witness you know? Why shouldn't that be a acceptable standard applied to the opposition & MSM?

I can't say I place 100% stock in anything I read these days, Mox. I don't think much of some of the "opposition" viewpoints either, and just for balance I read Conservapedia on Donald Trump, and among the comical comments of some of their assertions on other subjects, they have some very good things to say about Trump.
And if in fact they are true, then that's what I've said before in some of my posts on here, that I'm sure there are some good things that Trump has done. No argument.
I said to TR that much of my reading about Trump's chronic lying was not from newspapers, whether left right or centre, and of course, no Trump-supporting article from anywhere would probably even mention anything at all about his lying.
I find it quite amusing really, that there is so much questionable reading material on "both sides", and if I was in America and could vote, I would be like mikey and take my pick from what the candidate is promising to do, rather than any fixed Republican or Democrat stance. As I've said, America is so deeply divided down partisan lines and at the last, it doesn't really matter.
If Trump carries on into another term, then as long as he does positive things for the People, no matter his own motives, so be it. If his chronic lying is a fact, then left or right, anybody who carries on like that is not to be trusted. Plain and simple.

I would like to have public media access & funding of respective political candidates to be the norm. Eradicate private campaign contributions. It's just a slick form of bribery anyways. I'd like to have lobbying outlawed too or at least make it a subdued operation like it is here in Canada to minimize undue influence in policy making from special interest groups. The tail wagging the dog. I am not the same as the American conservative brand. Canada has a long history of coexistence & co-equality with the francophones. Therefore, we have had a form of institutionalized liberalism in one way or the other. I think my worldview reflects this. However, I identify as a libertarian & pragmatist.

Good suggestions. In the United States, it'll never happen. The corporate tail wagging the govt dog is too deeply entrenched and intertwined with all sorts of different agencies and interlocking companies, etc. At the end of the day, the quintessential American dream "a million dollars" is the number one motive and direction for foreign policy re wars, govt policies that favour corporations over the ordinary citizen, longstanding organized crime, CIA operations. The list goes on and on.
