This afternoon, before dinner, I did an Asian Squat for 5:00 while continuously working my new Bison-1N Forearm Exerciser. I'm very clumsy with it as a newbie but I'll improve with time. My forearm endurance is my weakest link. I'm working on improving my pull-up hang hold time which I tested yesterday for a modest 1:48. My known lifetime best is about 2:08, again modest. I'm hoping with the Bison work I'll surpass my previous known best and get to a 2:30 hold before long. At my current bodyweight of 175 lbs., this is good enough for an almost age 66 old turd like me.

Thanks Magnus and Pierini, very interesting. I mainly do wrist curls and reverse wrist curls as my therapist said after my recent wrist injury. The bison forearm exerciser looks very useful.

Question for Mag and other owners of the Bison-1M - how long did you use it before you needed to lube it up? Mine is starting to make "noise" on one side. Understand the earlier comments about getting equal tension on both sides which is desirable so both sides move equally when in action. I like this gadget.

I did mine after Magz did his, having bought it second hand and used it on and off for about 4 years, and I'm not sure it made much of a difference.

Mine also started squeaking a little bit with not much use, maybe less than a week ? When I took it apart I found that it had barely any factory lubricant, and the minimum amount present seemed inferior as far as the grease that's normally used for metal on metal friction. The socket balls actually ride on metal on the outer side, similar to a sleeve bearing, and polyurethane on the inner side, so I used a multi purpose lithium grease designed for rolling metal parts that's compatible with polyurethane. Once it was properly lubed it hasn't made any noise at all. Watch this video from about the 4:35 mark, except I would apply slightly more grease...

I really like it also, I'm starting to notice a difference in greater wrist strength along with it's range of motion rehab qualities.

I find the bicycle - both forward and reverse - the most demanding but maybe that’s because I do those later in the Bison rotation. Been doing it while I’m the Asian Squat for efficiency.
I’m going to evaluate payoff by improvement in my pull-up bar hang time, one of my current challenges.

If I was training you I'd have you take a break from the "hang time" test and do 'Negative Only Chins' with a weighted dip belt 2x a week for a few months. When you go back and test your 'hang time' I promise you that it'll be significantly longer rogersathletic.com/updates/get-strong-blog/Negative-chins

Speaking of hanging, I've recently started my hangs (not a habit yet, but I'm working on it) by pulling up to half way, elbows @ 90*, and holding there while doing bicycles, recumbent style - looks like a kid peddling a Big Wheel. It's tough for me.
