That will do it. How do "they" determine what is "normal" for an individual? People are all different. What is "normal" for me may not be "normal" for you when measuring conditions of our individual biology. As we have noted previously, there are people who drink whisky and smoke all of their adult lives and still live to be over 100. All of that obsessiveness with our body is unhealthy, IMO. When I looked into it all at the time I discovered what is considered “normal” has been lowered a lot over the years. The cynic in me makes me think it is so more people can be put on prescription medication. Just like they've done with what is considered high cholesterol. The number that is considered high in the UK is about the same as the UK average cholesterol level. It's nonsense.

Woofter, I'm glad you have found something that help. It sounds like you might need a change of career but are there any jobs out there where you wouldn't get wound up? I know I can't think of any where I wouldn't get wound up. I told my boss to "Get fucked!" and went home about an hour or so after I got to work one morning last week. I went back to work the next day when I calmed down though. And I didn't apologise, m8s!

Thanks Michael. Yeah I did change my diet when I found out. I was a cheese lover but had no idea how much salt was in it. Plus I was I’m eating it with super-strong marmite — packed with salt. What I noticed was when I relaxed at the weekend things would improve. I did stop the muscle tensing stuff I did, too. Did reducing salt make any difference? My blood pressure is the low end of good so still good. Salt is like a superfood for me. I reduced salt a little a few weeks ago to see what the minimum amount is that I can use while still feeling good. I probably reduced it by almost half but I started feeling worn out at work. I was also getting a little dizzy if I was doing something low to the ground and got up fairly quickly. After a week of that I went back to the usual amount and have been fine since. I don't eat any foods that have salt added. The only salt I have is what I add. I would guess that I have about 4 level teaspoons a day. Tricky to say to be honest because it was so up and down. Work stress was the thing that would cause a big spike — as in an over 20 point instant rise!

I went through a chapter of my health and wellness journey of taking my blood pressure frequently. I would also take it three times, one after the other with about one minute gaps. Probably 99 percent of the time, I could get the successive reading lower than the previous one by merely breathing and mental imagery. Haven't taken it in a while. If I can remember, I'll do it on New Year 2022 Day for my archives. It would be an interesting science experiment taking it when Mrs. Pierini Fitness is giving me a bad time to see if there's a spike.
