That xbar is essentially a lifting bar with bands attached which limits you to exercises performed with a lifting bar. THE HOOK handles are far more versatile with unlimited resistance. You could load those bad boys up with bands 'til the cows come home. And ease of changing resistance? Just drop bands into or remove them from the hooks. The anchor greatly increases the number of different exercises that can be performed with THE HOOK.

Interesting! I wonder if the study he bases his 4 x bodyweight thing on is also nonsense.

Exactlly Fred and Bruce. If You really look at those pictures, all he did was diet down and lose body fat. He didn't change in size. The last picture he's flexing so of course it's going to bring out the look of muscularity. Why didn't he pose the same way in all 3 pictures? He posed different in all 3 pictures.

His physique was built before his invention.
He dieted down and pumped up before the final picture was taken.
He built up using the traditional weight training.
He sells and sounds someone we know who wears white jeans, maybe they should get together and sell an isometric belt..... oh sorry, the white pants guy us trying to get his off the ground.

One advantage that the Ross' pipe handle has is that it can accommodate wide flat bands including the 4" wide Monster Band .

I stand a wooden dowel to anchor anchor heavy resistance bands and straps while performing squats and deadlifts (both with isometrics and isotonics)

This is him before, midway and after. It looks like light manipulation/fat loss/after workout pump to me. I read months ago (I cite from memory) he gained like 20 or 30 pounds in that period, I don't see it. From his website: X3BAR CAN BUILD MUSCLE GAINS 3X FASTER THAN TRADITIONAL TRAINING. Yeah... Also, his idea about phase A, B and C sounds like a bad version of forced reps, I have consulted with a physiotherapist and it is not safe, could irritate tendon/ligament quite easily. He states from 15 to 40 reps. Last, but not least: m.facebook.com/dbhit/posts/2084798074917734Not much of a difference really. Better lighting and a slight fat loss. Muscle mass remains the same.

I am figuring even the heaviest band they use should fit in The Hook.
Has anyone used heavy flat bands to do this sort of training with The Hook?
