Oh. Did you know her too? Too young...just old enough to have heard the rumors.

Hey, Molieboofs, I discovered this morning that the stepper is somehow more doable if you count reps rather than timing yourself on a clock. I did 200 reps on each leg, i.e., 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, etc. The faster you go, the sooner you're done. I know I could have done more, so next time I'll increase the reps.

I once invested in a Xiser, rather expensive, but very durable. Love it, remarkably the most challenging resistance is the lightest; then the pace goes up. In 2 minutes I really feel my legs. When I bought is I was rather skeptical, but in a few weeks when walking on the streets I felt like my legs got seriously younger. I use it every morning when not hiking or biking. I have a Xiser, too. Very useful for intervals in between other exercises.

I know this thread is old but thought there was some useful stuff in it. Plus I miss Bruce's posts about stuff like this. Someone had given me an old York mini stepper some time ago. It never really appealed to me. It was just collecting dust but I thought about messing with it. I know everyone talked about how good it is for knees, legs, hips, etc... Is it worth using cardio wise? Do Your legs start burning before You get any cardio benefits?

If it makes your legs burn and you want cardio, just get off of it right as you start to feel a burn and just walk around normal till it passes. Cardio benefit is obtained (in most popular theory) by maintaining elevated heart rate for a certain period of time. Just pay attention to that.

Yeah I was going to ask You because I seen earlier in the thread You mentioned You had one. I never used one, like I said it was collecting dust.
