Most Fridays at school, we had cheese and onion pie, one of my fave meals at school. Back the 1960's they had a school kitchen with cooks that made everything from scratch. You know there was going to be apple pie coz you'd see the dinner lady (as they was called) peeling apples on a lathe type peeler.

I do love cheese and onion pie. Simple but so tasty.

This does look delicious, but I no longer eat any of these and would need to substitute other ingredients for the ones, struck-through in red: INGREDIENTS AMOUNT FOR 12 SERVINGS 100 g butter300 g flour500 g Red Leicester cheese, grated 60 g lard 3 onions, peeled and diced 2 medium eggs 75 ml milk2 tbsp breadcrumbs1/4 bunch chives, chopped

Going to a pot-luck supper this evening and I'm making 'Toad in a Hole", basically sausage it's in Yorkshire pudding. My sausage will be bit size standing up. Should be a hit with the ladies

Looking at my dish in the oven, it's risen fantastic, not flat in the middle like the photo. 3 eggs, 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of 3.25% goat milk, 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Sausages and dripping. Dead simple. Make sure to rub some of you-know-who's "virility creme" on the sausages before serving

Mum used to make toad in the hole when we were kids. Another simple but really tasty meal.

Golly! That's like taking a shower with your raincoat on, isn't it?

It's like avoiding the avalanche area or not drinking the glyphosate. I only removed two items, the dairy and the toxic gluten. I've posted about both of these in the past.

Quick rebuttal sure to get Spuds ( ) stirred up: gluten is only "toxic" to a small percentage of the overall population and is a mainstay in long-lived, lean populations globally.
