Ha! You bet I eat! I'm not real happy w/ me wt. I'd like to be @ 150# +/-, but I don't want to compromise muscle and just add the fat I've shed.
I did that, first by trying to intentionally eat more fat - don't ask me about quantity metrics though - "Having no log as log" - ...
Then I noticed I wasn't getting wood as easily (Having no log as log), so I reduced fat, ate more cellular carbs like potato in all colors, sweet potato, broccoli, iceberg lettuce, celery, buckwheat, quinoa, sweet potato vermicelli from the local Asian market, algaes; spirulina & chlorella powders, beet powder (thank you DDH), etc. It seems especially woody to eat the sweet potato foods just mentioned, a little while before going to bed.
So, I have been eating real food, not a lot, mostly veggies .... the G-BOMBS .... focusing on nutrient density. Foods that are dense with nutrients and high in satiety, like potatoes, make reducing portion size much easier it seems. Somewhere around here is a post I 'liked' that had positive things to say about potato. I love them.
Recently, I've added more calories from fish, fowl & animal protein (due to that vid I posted somewhere - the Mike Mutzel interview of that attractive brunette whatever her name was) and less fat. Protein requires about twice the calories to digest as carbs do, so I can eat the same gross calories (whatever that number is, IDK), but the calories required to digest the protein reduce the net calories. From how it's been going, I'd say I've nearly zeroed in on what's working for me now - subject to change as it almost surely will after I read fatjake's next post.
I always have an appetite and I'm around delicious smelling food a lot, but I always ask myself, "OK, are you actually hungry or can you just enjoy the density of the smell". Most of the time, you know.
When I eat, I've downsized the portions by using smaller plates ..... except for lettuce based salads - I eat the hell out of those and use the biggest bowl I have. No dairy tho & only some oil like chia &/or straight grape musts Balsamic, sea salt & 30cc or so of fresh smashed garlic.
After I eat what I've prepared, I let it settle for maybe 15 min to 30 min and then decide if I can run on it or need a little more.
So now, since beings bodies seek homeostasis and I'm at a comfortable fat level which seems to have stabilized and I think I can sustain, I'm adding more protein - animal or veg, I don't care - to see if I can put some muscle back on ....... which now all of these negative motherfuckers are telling me is Im-fucking-possible to do ..... I'm having a hard time with that one, can you tell?
