It's almost like they have a different religion to Christians, m8! Some say it's really just 'Part Two' of the same religion... ? I don't understand why some Christians seem to think their religion is somehow allied to Judaism? You don't break away from a religion to be allied to it otherwise it's a bit pointless breaking away. It appears to me that Islam was started by a bunch of people who broke away from Christianity as they do believe that Jesus was one of the prophets.

I don't know if everything has been orchestrated by the Chinese, but I think it was Sun Tzu who said, "Never interrupt your enemy while he's making a mistake", could have been Clauswitz, I don't know. They will definitely move on Taiwan prior to the US election if they can't count on the Democrats stealing another election and the fear of Trump returning to office. The senile clown occupying the White House was the green light for every rogue nation and terrorist that no one was minding the store.

Perhaps the same reason(s) that the USA came to Great Britain's aid several times in the 20th century. You need to help the people you can best co-exist with.

For the LORD will not forsake His people, for His great name's sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make Israel His people.
Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against them. Keep Israel as the apple of Your eye; Hide them under the shadow of Your wings from the wicked who oppress them, From their deadly enemies who surround Israel.
The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous ....
Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion, Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withers before it grows up.

My understanding of WHY God chose Israel was that the Hebrews were considered the lowliest of peoples in those days, when He could have chosen Egypt or some other dominant empire, and by that choosing demonstrates the irrelevance of earthly power. The irony is that those same Jews then rejected Jesus because they in turn thought God would select a conquering warrior king as their messiah, and again God chose a lowly carpenter who taught "love your enemy" and that His "kingdom is not of this world". But God won't abandon Israel because He never goes back on a promise. I've never figured out how God is going to deal with Jews who never accept Christ, while at the same time promising they are HIS people.

One place to find your answer to this question is Romans, chapter 3.

Different branch of the same original tree… Indeed. If some Christians are so attached to Judaism then they should become Jews. The original Christians left Judaism because they didn't think it was good enough but you have this new breed of Christian that seems to be worshiping at the feet of Jews and spouting this "Chosen people" and "Promised Land" bullshit. It doesn't make sense to me.

Romans 2:17 - 29 (English Standard Version - ESV - one of my favorite translations)
But if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law and boast in God, and know his will and approve what is excellent, because you are instructed from the law; and if you are sure that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of children, having in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth — you then who teach others, do you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal? You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? You who boast in the law dishonor God by breaking the law.
For, as it is written, “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”
For circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision. So, if a man who is uncircumcised keeps the precepts of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? Then he who is physically uncircumcised but keeps the law will condemn you who have the written coded and circumcision but break the law.
For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.
Follow this ^^^ up with reading Romans chapter 3 and maybe it will help you understand, m8s?
