While you were in Massachusetts, would have recommended stopping by "the" cemetery in Concord. Called Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, you have some of the greats of American literary history buried there including Emerson, Thoreua, Hawathorne, etc. You also have Walden Pond and the bridge where "the shot heard round the world" stands.
Assuming you drove straight across on 90 from the Niagara Falls area? If you go back would recommend hitting north NY! We flew into Albany around five or six years ago this time of year and I took my wife to Saranac Lake for three days and we hiked some of the mountains in the Adirondacks before driving to Plattsburgh and seeing the old home before heading over to Vermont and staying in the Stowe area and hiking Mt. Mansfield. Then drove to Center Harbor, New Hampshire in the area, where I did a duathlon and then we saw the White Mt. National forest. Simply amazing and worth every second if you return.

Ping me for ideas when you go back if you want some options in the area. For example, up the road is outdoor "mecca"...LL Bean's HQ in Freeport, Maine. I would be there daily...my favorite store in the world.

I looked at the map of Maine and saw that there was a little town at the end of a long peninsula, so we decided to check it out - Port Clyde. A picturesque little Maine fishing village with an old Inn which we stayed in that night. And also.........................*drumroll*..........................we happened upon the LL Bean outlet store, open 24 hours a day. Loved it! I got lost in it!

Have to ask: did you eat at the Dip Net? When my parents were stationed in Bangor (known as Derry, Maine, to Stephen King aficionados--you'll see the downtown in "IT") we would drive down to the coast and one of their favorite places was the Dip Net.
Now, I hate (can't stand, won't eat) lobster. Fortunately, they've had fried chicken fingers or tenders on their menu since I was a kid. So, when I took my wife there a few years ago when we drove up from Acton, MA (I was there working for two weeks), imagine the look on her face when I ordered the fried chicken tenders basket.
Acadia Park along with Bar Harbor is also a great visit...just don't go during tourist season. It sucks.

What?? I thought London was in England! Also... London is a city in and the county seat of Madison County, Ohio, United States. Located about 25 miles southwest of the Ohio capital of Columbus.

Well, I just looked up London, Ontario on Google Earth and it's not very far from Niagara. Wish I'd known, Henry. Next time. Know what I'm sayin'? And if visiting the world's deepest hand dug hole, or the world's largest ball of twine, is on your bucket list, then you're not far from me. You're the first person I met on the Internet, Henry. Way back in 2002.
