Eric Garner simply refused to submit to handcuffs & comply with orders. Garner was one big wood chopping motherfucker too. 2 or 3 of them had to subdue him right? If I'd been one of those cops, I'd have tased or maced him. No way would I have wasted effort with a WWF match on Hulk Hogan there. Been there, done that! Garner wasn't an athlete or even a weightlifter, he was just a big FAT very unhealthy guy, anyone with the proper technical and physical training could get him down on the ground without much if any 'assistance' aside from possibly a quick shot of pepper spray. Mace isn't nearly as effective in these types of situations and the taser has too many disadvantages as compared to good old pepper spray... Hey? He "resisted" . So, he was asking for it. So, in the final analysis taser, mace, cosh, beat down.... It's all the same. Right?

Totally disagree, resisting is resisting, just COMPLY and you'll live to fight it out in court, it's that simple... It doesn't pass the litmus test. The cops failed to apply the Use of Force continuum. He wasn't a threat to anyone because he was in their custody handcuffed in the prone position. A fat assed 13 year old kid could have sat or stood on his back & did a better job of it without killing him then this cop who had full use of his mental facilities & training while the suspect was mentally impaired. I don't give a rats ass how much he wiggled or squirmed away from the officer. He wasn't going anywhere. Once the cuffs go on the cops have an obligation to cease applying force other then using the minimum force to secure him. The standard u are using here is a lame pretext. Pure & simple. It's not you, me or the cops who get to decide how his rap sheet is relevant or that he's a certified shithead. That's what a judge & jury is for. He initially didn't comply and if you actually saw the entire video you'd see that aside from resisting he was acting strangely....probably because he was zonked out on large quantities of drugs..

I posted the transcript from the video where Garner refused to allow the cops to arrest him, thereby RESISTING ARREST... Was Garner "asking for it" by resisting ? Of course not, and I also honestly don't think any cops at the scene intended to kill him, it unfortunately turned out to be an otherwise easily avoidable tragedy had Garner just fought the notion to 'keep it real' and complied... Here's some backstory info for you in case you believe the false narrative that he was just some random totally innocent 'model citizen' black guy targeted by "racist" cops... "Garner had been arrested by the NYPD more than 30 times since 1980 on charges such as assault, resisting arrest, and grand larceny. According to an article in The New York Times many of these arrests had been for allegedly selling unlicensed cigarettes. At the time of the incident, he was out on bail for allegedly selling untaxed cigarettes, driving without a license, marijuana possession, and false impersonation." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Eric_Garner

Listen my mateys. I know exactly what you're all talking about re blacks etc. They need to clean their act up in their own communities. Deuce is right as well. The media needs to stop trying to sell sensationalism, and fire journalists who use their job as a portal for their own personal attitudes i.e. shit-stirring the communities.
We've gone on and on about Floyd and his death at the hands (knee) of the police.
Mags M8, you said "Chauvin was initially permitted to perform the neck restraint, but obviously went too far....."
That's it in a nutshell. Never mind anything else.
Will that do ?

When an entity (in this case BLM) figures out that MILLIONS of dollars can be raised very quickly by exploiting tragedies such as the death of George Floyd, this isn't going to end soon or pretty. The people in government and the media who will take a cut of that action guarantees that.

Yes and over the top of it all, the PTB carry on with business as usual, while we're all scrabbling in the dust fighting each other for one reason or another.
All this trouble doesn't just erupt from a few police incidents. It comes from the top, that's why I haven't bothered for years voting in national elections, except this last one where I voted for Jacinda on the back of her resolute actions re at least three serious emergencies.
Other than that, it doesn't matter what party you vote for, the 1% still exist and own the govt.
The next 9% back them up. It's easier to see here than in America because we are vastly fewer, and haven't got as many agencies, sub-agencies, off-shoots of those agencies etc etc , and we don't have separate state governorship, it's all one.

"Now that BLM has achieved major attention, things seem to be falling apart for the group. There is infighting and several chapters have splintered away from the main organization. Two of the founders — Garza and Tometi — have disassociated themselves from the group. The problem is BLM grew organically without much structure." Same old story. Same here on some of the Maori land settlements. A few hold the dough, the rest don't see any of it.
