Ben, keep your arm in that position then rotate the wrist with fist away from the shoulder and it will isolate the forearm muscle there.

Ben are You shooting for anything in Your training? Or are You just having fun? For example, I'm shooting to be able to do a certain KB complex in a certain amount of time in good form. Also shooting for some other things but You get the point. Hope You don't mind me asking You this but is this You? www.vrtsystem.com/ If it is, why did You stop doing what You did then? Did You accomplish that conditioning from VRT(KSHD) or did You do something else? By the way, in case You don't know, KSHD is the same as VRT. You can get a good biceps peak with kettlebell curls but grip them like a hammer curl and you have to balance them so watch they don't fall in and hit your face. A personal trainer had me do them and sez I had the best biceps he'd ever seen

Ben,
If you want to build your good biceps for 2-3 months, try self-resistance curls with belt loop. It is very efficient exercise:
Grab the belt loop handle and step on another loop handle. Then do the biceps curl with strong resisting by the quadriceps. By this way, you can reach higher biceps tension due to more powerful quadriceps. In addition, increasing pressure in eccentric phase of motion, you can get additional benefits because eccentric contraction is more effective for gaining muscles and strength. Perform 4-6 sets (8-10 reps/set). I added 1" at my 68+. You can get it faster at your age.
