Weight plates with built-in handles have been available for over 20 years . They offer somewhat of a compromise to the versatility of a Birt Plate .

Do You use chalk? This is a serious question. What is the purpose of the use of chalk? Is it for grip assistance? Because of sweat? I've never used chalk so I'm curious. I know from my jobs my hands are calloused and rough. I've been called,"sand paper hands" by people. Michael, I seldom use chalk but I carry it in my gym bag. It’s helpful for high volume outdoor KB workouts on a hot day when my palms can get sweaty and my grip is compromised. Can think of one or two workouts that I had to abort because of sweaty palms. Again, high volume workouts. When I trained in the Olympic lifts, everyone used chalk. I think it’s an inexpensive training supply to have and carry for those once-in-awhile special needs situations. Bought my cube at Dick’s. Thanks Pierini, that's what I thought. I guess I'm lucky my palms don't get sweaty. A part of my training today was Two hand swings EMOM for 16 rounds with a 28kg. I started at 10 reps and added a rep each set. So I went from 10 to 26 reps within the minute for a total of 296 reps. My limiting factor has never been hands. It's been my lower back because of past form. But this session felt very good.

Michael, that a great job. I like the design of that ladder. Wonder if you would have felt any different starting at the top and working your way down.

I have Olympic and standard plates with handles and have used them for plate workouts. The special features that make these even more suitable for plate workouts is what has me interested. That interest may go away when I finally see a price.

KB arrived early today. I absolutely love it!
Magnus, yes it felt heavy when I first took it out of the box 🤣.
Ive gotten in a couple hundred swings today, mostly in sets of 15, while watching college football today. I did one set of 20, and noticed my form slipped slightly. I’m focused mostly on good form, and the conditioning and intensity will build over time.
My hamstrings are my weakest link, and I think swings are going to remedy this.
The 53 pounder was a good choice.
This tool has renewed my enthusiasm for training!

MBS, pleasant swings with your new KB. Hamstrings DOMS is good feedback. Crack them walnuts at the top of your swings. Be safe.

Obviously a "soft" KB is less likely to injure when form may lapse doing endurance work(worthwhile insurance) . KB purists will object .

Fraidy cats like me will stick with "soft workout implements" like sandbags that have multiple handles ; a drop in a foot won't result in a fracture.
