After reading comments from Magnus, pierini, and Michael extolling the virtues of kettlebell swings, I’ve decided to get one.
The two handed swing is the movement I intend to implement. Does a 20kg weight sound right for a balance of endurance and strength?
Any particular brand you guys might recommend for bring a good value? ( Smooth handle, finish, etc).

MBS I've had a couple of different brands. The first ones I bought were Dragondoor. I ended up selling them making more money than I bought them for. The reason I sold them was that I drank some bad kool aide from the bag lady. I've had Walmart, Ader, etc... to which I sold all of them and made money from also. But I invested in Rogue KBs and that's what I have now. Since You say You intend to implement two hand swings I would say You can get away with any brand. If You plan on doing presses, cleans, snatches, etc... there's a difference in some brands with the length from the handle to the bell. KBs like the Walmart brands and the cheaper ones, the bell sits up higher towards the wrist which makes it harder on the wrist with some exercises. I like the Rogue ones I have: www.roguefitness.com/rogue-kettlebells I would say shop around if You're not in a hurry. As far as size to go with that's hard to say. I'm guessing Your pretty strong. The general wide range recommendation for men is 16kg to 24kg. If You were going to use them for other exercise my recommendation is going to a store where they sell them. Then grab one and press it. If You can press in for around 8 reps that's what I would start with. I do my two hand swings now with a 28kg. I've mostly have done them with 24kg in the past. I probably would say for two-hands swings 24kg may be a good place to start. Just make sure You watch some videos on the form before You start. I actually went to someone because of my back history. One thing I see some people doing that can mess them up is not hiking the KB back at their crotch and going below the knees. There are other things to.

MBS, they’re very expensive right now. Mine gave me a better return on investment this year than the real estate I own and it’s a hot real estate market right now. I buy Ader and am pleased. I believe Michael is a Rogue guy. Chandler Marchman peddles Kettlebell King. Best to invest a few hours on the internet and YouTube reading some reviews. Based on my perception of your fitness, I say a 20kg KB for swings sounds about right. Study some YouTube videos or get some one-on-one instruction of correct swing form so you don’t injure yourself. Be safe and good luck.

Thanks guys.
pierini, I went on OfferUp to look and was shocked at the prices. Seems With Covid and gym closures, the market has priced these much higher than before.
I'm not really a “ strong” guy, more of a lean and nimble climber/ hikers build.
I think 20-24 kg will be the right weight.

Michael the price on a 20kg at Rogue isn’t that bad, $61. I didn’t check the shipping cost though Guess finding a KB for a $1 per pound may be a challenge.

MBS, yeah they are going to be expensive now. The Rogue prices I believe stayed the same but they go out of stock fast right now. If You can wait until this is over You may be better off. I personally like quality KBs but I know there are ways to make homemade ones. I believe I read Bruv made one out of concrete.

MBS, I think your choice of 20kg sounds good also. The one I use for swings is DIY and weighs 110# (50kg). It would be way too heavy for me to do more than 50 swings at a time and they are not the high swings I see people do with light bells. Which is what I wanted to mention along with what pierini and Michael said. Form is really important for me when I swing that thing. Back is kept straight, the movement is driven by the hips and the arms holding the bell just go along for the ride - rather limp except for grip - the arms/shoulders do not assist. If the arms only move slightly on the first swing or two from the hip movement, so be it. Due to the girth of my DIY bell, I must squat to clear my knees, so good squat form is involved for me.
I'm not the expert on it like Michael and pierini are since I'm not as consistent with bell swings as they are and i only have the one which is not a great endurance tool, but that's my best input.

MBS I'm like You but I'm not a minimalist. But I have to admit, Deuce's video is pretty cool. Mr.P, I'm no expert. Yeah, I've had instruction on KB exercises but I'm always trying to learn. I'm always trying to make sure I refresh myself on the movements. The hip hinge, Hiking the bell to the crotch, driving the hips, and squeezing the glutes at the top. Like You said, "the arms just go for the ride". I don't worry about how high my arms go.
I tried to find good videos on the form. Here's a couple:

MBS, Do you have a Play it again Sports store in Vegas? We have them here and when the pandemic started, my neighbor loaded me a couple of his kettlebells, and I implemented swings and goblet squats and I love them , I have 3 KB’s, a 5,15 and 45 lb kettlebells and payed $1.95 per lb for them , which is the cheapest I found , the brand I have is Apollo, and I’m happy with them , I even bought from Kettlebell Kings a adjustable 12 -32 kg kettlebell, which I really like that also, swings and goblet squats and a regular part of my workout routine, and I love them, I think you will really like kb swings , a good hinge and cardio exercise, let’s us how you like them.

I have a 25 lb dumbbell, and I have been doing swings with that. It’s too light, and I want a kettlebell for this.
Appreciate all the feedback!

Does a 20kg weight sound right for a balance of endurance and strength? Any particular brand you guys might recommend for bring a good value? ( Smooth handle, finish, etc). Go with Rogue in either the 'Powder Coat' or the 'E-Coat', they're great quality kettlebells and Rogue doesn't price gouge so they're relatively inexpensive. As far as weight goes I'd say you're right on the money, get yourself either a 40 or a 44 pounder (20kg) to start out with. Ultimately you may want a heavier k'bell, or maybe even lighter for things like high rep snatches, but I would say 40 or 44 is perfect to start with for swings. Here's the link to Rogue's kettlebell page... www.roguefitness.com/conditioning/strength-equipment/kettlebells

Thanks Magnus. The Titan adjustable looks interesting. Won’t ship till December 15 though
I like that 20kg rogue too. $61 + shipping. I haven’t check shipping price but I’m guessing north of $30.
I've heard such good things about KB swings. Looking forward to getting started with them.
