Good alternatives by Bob and Texas. Ronnie Coleman trained like an animal but he's definetlly paying for it now. I watched the Netflix movie on him and it's pretty sad to see him like that.

I'm unconvinced that full ROM is necessary, ...... but then I don't compete in bb'ing nor am I on juice.

Without evidence I believe joint health is enhanced with full ROM exercises. KSHD is a safe way to do them.

In addition to muscle and strength growth/maintenance, dynamic self-resistance training, including KSHD, improves speed, mobility, and joint flexibility. It may provide enough resistance for the 'average' person interested in maintaining muscle tone/gaining a little size, but, you're not going to improve strength or speed...both are SAID -- specific adaption to imposed resistance and genetic. So it depends on your goals. You won't see a powerlifter using it, but, for a person not interested in the gym it could benefit. Joint flexibility? That relates to factors such as synovial fluid, re-training the nervous system to relax/allowing a muscle to relax), genetics (women are move flexible than men), degeneration of the joint, etc. Strength training helps stabiitize a joint...eg strong quads are important to the integrity of the knee.

I watched movie too. Very likable guy and loves kids too. Very sad to see. He destroyed his back and is crippled because of it. I had heard he was an excellent powerlifter and very strong. The weights he used were unbelievable. He had an awesome home gym. Also could not believe what that Metroplex gym looked like. I think if you got a wound it would turn gangrenous immediately. Filthy but hardcore.

My knees aren't the best but that's due to too many motorbike accidents when I was in my 20s. Without exercise, I'd probably be still walking with a stick; I did for a few years after the last big crash. I've never got on with KSHD but if it works for you that's great.
