I know everyone won't agree with everything Ric says but some decent advice. I watched something on Netflix with Ronnie Coleman. It was pretty sad to see what he goes through.

No one has yet told me that I'm too old to train the way I have always trained, so I'll just continue on.

Who willingly makes concessions to old age? But there's a point where we reach our Waterloos.
According to Coach Pierini, Bruce will finally become officially old on November 11

Also I'm not saying I'm old, because I am not, or anyone else here is old. I just like some of Ric's videos.

I saw Ronnie Coleman when he was at his "peak" at a Macaroni Grill in the local area and the man was unbelievably huge. I hadn't visited Gold's of the early 90s before going back again in 2009 with my wife, so, his size was mindblowing. I'd quit paying attention to Mr Olympia and all that stuff years prior so seeing him was just a shock to see what bb'ing had become.
A couple of years ago, a friend saw him at a local health food store promotiing his supplements and he said it was a sad sight to see the aftermath of Coleman's bodybuilding career. He entered in a wheel chair and then used small crutches to move himself around.
The Barbarian Brothers, who trained much like Coleman during their heyday (I can attest to this as I saw them...just unbelieveable), have similar issues.
If you haven't seen the movie on Coleman, it is pretty incredible.

He has some great points.
To add: there are also alternatives like isometrics and partials, if you still want to use "heavy" weights. Pete Sisco's site has posts from individuals who had to stop benching full ROM due to injuries, but, partials and isometrics have allowed them to continue to use some big weights. Options like Super Slow are also out there, etc.

Dynamic self-resistance is also a good option for older people to avoid injuries.
