It's a good idea to experiment with methods that can intensify the timed static contractions e.g. I stand on a board to anchor an adjustable strap while performing squats and deadlifts( without the board the strap's pull on the outside of my feet lessens the contractions )

I have added 2 slipping handles to the belt loop. It works great for both dynamic and static self resistance exercises.  |

Thanks TR. I like the use of the blocks. Also cool way at 4 minute mark to apply squat resistance

I don't know how much those foam yoga blocks cost, but for a foam pad, I use those 1" thick x about 14", dense foam garden knee "planks". They are good for padding knees when doing ab wheel too. I think they cost about $5 each @ a home improvement & garden type store.
