Found this guy’s channel. He has some great content on drug-free training.
His approach is clearly heavily influenced by guys such as Stuart McRobert, who advocated a much lower volume of training than that promoted in the muscle mags. Intensity over volume, but not HIT either.

Some good points in this video especially when he talks about obsession. I know he's talking about bodybuilders but this can be true with fitness and nutrition in general for some people. Weren't You influenced by Stuart McRoberts? Did Stuart McRoberts always recommend lower rep ranges? Two workouts compared to 3 full body workouts. You still do a light day for the second workout of the week? How much different is what You do now from before?

This is a great video. He is spot on with what he is saying when I was lifting weights the best gains I ever had was when I bought an Iron Man magazine with the first article that Stuart McRobert wrote it in there ,I followed that routine in there for two years And my strength shot up. It was a simple routine of four total exercises per workout two times a week, two steps of warm-ups and two heavy sets and that was it ,simple compound exercises ,hard work twice a week ,dial in nutrition and rest. I told people all the time that if you want to gain follow a routine like that if you’re having trouble gaining because it helped me when I plateaued .

I believe with dialed down nutrition, a minimalist workout of one set of a weighted, preferably, pull, push, squat, hinge and carry exercises done with an AMRAP minus 1 to 2 rep volume, twice a week, would produce efficient and great results for 99 percent of the ham and egger fitness dude population like me.
For me, to meet my fitness personality needs, I need a cardio closer of 100 burpees with jumps.

He always emphasised the importance of progressive poundage, but wasn’t a low-rep guy — in fact he promoted 20 rep squats. He definitely advocated a much lower volume approach for the typical person with normal genetics. I still train in a similar way — I like to mix up the light days and heavier days.
