The reason I like wrestling is because it uses the whole body. Also, once the techniques are mastered it makes for a very formidable self defense. Oh sorry, didn't mean that, we shouldn't defend ourselves here in America just allow things to happen and let the perps go free.

Yup, I will never understand why it fell out of favour in the UK, we revolutionized modern wrestling along with the USA and now we have nothing, the odd club every 80 miles or so. I've never had the opportunity to try just wrestling, catch/freestyle/folk etc but from what I've seen in videos on youtube etc, it seems so much easier to pick up a man and drop him on his head possibly knocking him unconscious for a week than having to stand and bang. I'd like to get my sons into wrestling if possible maybe try and teach them myself with the aid of youtube (nearest club is 65 miles), seeing a wrestler get hold of a boxer and the boxer shitting his pants is quite satisfying, could of done with those skills growing up .
