If caucasian people were an insect they would be on some sort of extinction risk protection list.

NOTE TO SELF: I gotta work on my tan this summer. . . On a side note, it’s my understanding people don’t get cancer from the Sun but the sunscreen lotion we use so perhaps darkening your skin naturally these days.

I've been taking Astaxanthin on a daily basis for the last few years, and can 100% attest to the amazing fact that among other positive attributes it protects skin from excess sun exposure just as well if not better than any non natural commercial 'sunscreen' out there... www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5946307/draxe.com/nutrition/astaxanthin-benefits/

If I remember correctly the sunscreens work at reducing the incidence of skin cancer but because you are putting chemicals on your skin and this will be absorbed into your body that you can be setting yourself up for other cancers in the body.

On a side note, it’s my understanding people don’t get cancer from the Sun but the sunscreen lotion we use so perhaps darkening your skin naturally these days. Many years ago, a new guy started working at the same company I was at. He was 48 and sat in the cube next to mine. He was a redhead and light-skinned. During the cold winters he would liberally apply vaselne intensive care cream to his face and hands 3-4 times a day (that I saw him do it) to keep them from drying out even though he worked an inside desk job. After 5/6 years he saw a dermatologist for these scaly bumps he was getting on his hands and face. The dermatologist said they were pre-cancerous and needed to be removed. I had recently read that lotions and sunscreens were doing this to people. He had them (about 20 total on hands and face) removed leaving little scars all over. After they healed he went right back to using the vaseline intensive care.
