Many people like myself first learn about the concept of isometrics from "The Precious Set of Monks' Isometrics" I found these on the web with high resolution, here you go:

They're a good set of isometrics to chose from. I use a few of them regularly with various hold times, usually no more than three sets max.
My modifications include Elbow Plank instead of Monks 1 and 2 Sit on a chair for Monk 8 A 7" piece of 4X2 in between the hands and with elbows held high Monk 9 Interlaced fingers and bunched for hand strength Monk 10 (no need for Monk 16) Door frame (about 6") in between hands Monk 12 Palms instead of fingertips Monks 19, 20, 21, 22
Monks 3 and 4 are interesting. With the Monk 4 (facing down) try a "beginning of a pec-deck" position instead of straight arms.

Well they're in Silver's post.
Wouldn't have been any good me posting them anyway from down here. You would have received them upside down.

I remember seeing these in Combat magazine years ago, I tried them out years ago, some good ones there.
