I'm pretty sure his stuff is still under copyright so we won't be posting any of it on here, m8

Podcasts are a useful source of information. I really enjoyed listening to Mr Bud Jeffries (may he Rest In Peace) on the episode of “Beyond The Bend” from 25th October 2020. He was clearly a very generous and intelligent man.

Anyone got that pic of him doing a one arm handstand while firing a shotgun? I loved that.

This was the only one I could find that sounded like your description. Though I am not sure if that is a short shotgun, or a handgun with a long barrel.

That's the pic! It's my favorite pic of Bud Jeffries. Looks like a 12 ga, double bbl "coach gun" .... like stagecoach drivers used to pack for special, up close, surprises for thieves. If the barrel wasn't DIY shortened, it must be longer than 18", possibly about 20" long.

It's hard to fathom that this Jeffries character died of a pulmonary embolism in his sleep. He looked pretty fit. On the other hand, Dr Len Schwartz died of diagnosed lymphatic cancer in 4 months time at age 84. Len's exercise style famously flushed the lymphatic system which is known for its health benefits.
I guess I'd rather be found dead in the bathroom jerkin' the gherkin then checking out on the toilet like Elvis Presley did.
billfish had -I mean!- HAS wisdom.

Bud was a big inspiration to me as much as a source of genuine useable advice. His early stuff is available on the usual piracy websites and gives the gist of his outlook pretty well. His later stuff often felt like he was trying to make a product out of a few sentences of good information but he was still doing things other people really weren't or if they were they were it was guys who were weak as shit trying to hide behind some bizarre new metric.
