I have one purchased from about 3 years ago, but don't use it much as am at the point of Bullworker only right now. It's hydraulic, so it's isokinetic - positive only resistance. If you want a negative pushback then there is another with a spring that does that which I have as well and actually prefer. Once compressed you should not try and force it closed more for an iso contraction or you could pop the hydraulic and the oil inside will leak out. Others have dropped them and broke the seal somehow and they leak oil. I take care of my stuff and have mine has no problems, but I can see how it may only be a matter of time before it breaks. The resistance can be increased by turning the knob, but don't think it's near 200 kg. From right out of the box when I received it I could close it on all setting. It just takes longer to close when applying full force when at the max setting. I also notice with use I need to re-screw the screws in. Hope this helps....Happy Holidays!

I have a spring version I tend to only bend it pointing down and then pointing up, any thing else is just to awkward for me.
It gives you a good workout, I use it as a supplement like 20 reps of each up and down after workouts every other time or so, I would say it’s made a difference in a few areas, pulling or pushing against people such as arm wrestling and would probably do a world of good for grappling arms/joints im not sure how it would carry over to lifting.

Hi Michael--
No I never did get around to buying another twister. Maybe Santa will bring me one this year. I used to have a couple of sporting goods store ones (Bollinger, I think) and I loved them although they quickly became too easy for reps so I used them for long hold isometrics, holding them shut in various positions for one to three minutes. Back then you couldn't buy heavier ones like you can now. When I do get another one I will go for the coil spring design, some of the Breitbart exercises have you hold the twister in close to the body, the hydraulic type would not permit this.

Try Temu....I have a 50kg coil power twister purchased from them 6 months ago for about $16 US and the holiday prices now seem better.
