It's a media-pushed-words-of-negative-emotion topic. Southern "drawl" for negro = black. Big freaking deal. If you have, or have had, blacks for friends, you know that nigger is not repulsive among friends.

Yeah, nothing against them, but they were far from the 'noble savages' as they're now commonly portrayed... How would you react to someone coming on your land, acting friendly at first, then murdering your family and friends and taking everything you have including restricting you from living as you had on your land? Yeah, that's what I thought. You would go medieval on 'em. I guess I didn’t delete that post in time before you could quote it…. Didn’t really want to go down this road, but I’ll keep it brief. They didn’t live in Shangri La and they were far from ‘noble savages’, particularly with other tribes waaaay before they ever encountered the brutal Spaniards.

I think it's interesting that you think nigger, indicating a skin color, is more offensive than calling Indians "savages" which is a slur on their character?

Yeah, some may feel differently, but it's a 'Guest' post option that is generously permitted, not a 'Troll' option with a green light to spew nonsense with no intent other than to stir up trouble... If members can spew nonsense, and they obviously can, why not a 'Guest'? I don't care what they post. Sometimes it's interesting. Sometimes it's funny. Sometimes (like now) it creates a lot of activity on the foam which boosts Google rank. What's bad about that? Most ‘Guest’ posts are perfectly fine, even a little trollish comedic behavior is ok. But like I wrote previously, to leave up some total nonsense that had no other intent other than to cause trouble is the same thing as leaving a lazy sink full of dirty dishes. ***Hey Potatohead, gonna need a few pics of your kitchen 😝

Yep, I grew up around my Italian and Polish grandparents and can tell you the names of the ships they took to get to the USA and I had a less than 1% European Jewish or some such in my DNA results from Ancestry. Even more surprising was that after the heavily predominant Slavic DNA and the next predominant southern European DNA came a 7% Middle Eastern result which surprised me. Then I thought about how the Ottomans got into eastern Europe and the Moors got into southern Europe and figured my love for hummus and belly dancers came from that.

I think Belly dancers are universally loved. I may be wrong but I doubt it.

My sister did a DNA thing many years ago. It concluded that we were very different than the historical records and family stories stated. She continued to subscribe and gave them our actual records, and now, with their many updates, we are what the records and stories said we were.
The person she talked with said the earliest science was something akin to a parlour trick. It's mostly bullshit and guessing.
Everyone eventually has a little Irish in them, especially your mum.

I know a guy who looks latino or black. His mom was white, red haired Irish and his dad was, as he puts it, "black as the ace of spades".
