In my early 20's I claimed to be an atheist. Within a couple of years I had what I would call "religious experiences", two of which were "visions" that included the presence of Jesus Christ. I was not raised in the church and new relatively little about Christianity or the Bible. I won't go into them here, mostly because it's like seeing a ghost, nobody really believes it unless it happens to them. I will only say I now have zero doubts about the reality of an afterlife, and in fact it is MORE real than the life we find ourselves in currently I would say.
Curiously enough another time I had a dream with a giant blue being that seemed to be a Hindu type deity. We were in a beautiful palace garden, and I was allowed to ask one question, so of course I asked what is the meaning of life. I was told I would not understand the answer but could ask any other question. So I asked what is "enough" for the hearts of men to be happy. The being stated the answer was "Good Morning, Sunshine". I obviously didn't understand so he stated he would tell me a parable to help me understand. It follows here: Two neighboring kingdoms had been at war for centuries, until one day they decided to end the warfare by marrying a young prince to the princess of the other kingdom. In a show of good faith, the prince was invited to visit and meet the royal household. On his first night, he met the princess, and in a fit of lust he forced himself on her. In despair she ran to her mother to tell her what happened. The Queen, seeking to maintain peace, went to the visiting prince to confront him. He had consumed large amounts of alcohol and in a drunken lust, he also forced himself on the queen. Now the queen runs to the King, who has his guards bring the prince to the great hall and questions him. It is discovered to be true. The king states, "since you have risked the peace of our kingdoms, lives of many thousands now at risk, when you COULD have been king of both kingdoms, and instead behaved as an animal, you will be housed with my animals, where you belong, until I determine what to do with you". The prince is taken in chains to the stables, and still drunk and now angry forces himself on one of the king's horses as an insult. He is caught and humiliated. The king now, after showing every mercy, is forced to schedule the young prince for execution. In the morning, the door to the cell opens and in walks the executioner. The prince looks up and the executioner with the axe looks at him as says, "Good Morning, Sunshine". The blue deity then asked if I understood the parable, and went on, "When is 'enough' enough? Enough is never enough in the hearts of men." I share this "dream" with people because I believe there are times we are given bits of wisdom into eternal concepts and what lies behind the veil of the "real world".
I have tried to analyze this dream over the years, and perhaps the King was God, who had made every possible attempt to offer me more than I could have ever hoped for, but like the insane prince I kept acting on every impulse until there was nothing left, not even my own life. No horseplay though.

I wish I could believe in an afterlife but my skepticism and not being able to accept anything I can't see with my own eyes prohibits me from believing. I would probably enjoy life a lot more if I knew I could chill in heaven unfortunately it doesn't happen for me so I hope I have an "experience" that changes everything, I very much believe we live, we die, the end. although I believe somewhat in a creator because I don't think life can be explained in any way convincing enough for me personally and if I can't explain it or believe anything science has said, I can only really believe that there's a creator and hopefully that creator isn't a kid that left a plate under his bed and we're just a universe built on that plate doomed for the bin one day

I'm praying that Saints David Sinclair and Tony Robbins show us how to stay in this demented funhouse forever .
