OTOH, we have this 22 year old, Seymore, IN (John Mellencamp's "I live in a small town") resident who was not a LE, but was armed, in a mall this past weekend, against mall "policy" (not a law, so screw them), who took out a bad guy BY HIMSELF before the turd was able to use up all of his ammo on unarmed innocents. The perp killed three and injured two, but who knows how many would have died if this ONE man had not advanced upon and engaged the threat immediately .... only two minutes, faster than 911, m8s!
This is how farm boys rock and roll.
He makes the UPD look like complete incompetents, or worse.
It's as if those UPD were trained to make sure those kids die in an active shooter situation?
Like Mike Glover says, "Never outsource your security."

What a WOMAN ! So proud of her, and the fact that she's being retaliated against means the entire so-called Uvalde 'police dept' needs to be shit canned and replaced by people willing to do the job. ...and that incompetent fat slob piece of shit 'police chief' needs to be brought up on criminal charges along with sued for every penny he has by the parents of these tragic victims. |

I agree.
Mike Glover's evaluation of the next door funeral home and the school's surveillance cameras in his longer 1:45 hr youtube make it very clear that those cops were disgustingly negligent.
Multiple prompts to engage the perp and put him down, even before he entered the school!, but they just allowed it all happen ...... for 1 hour and 26 minutes!
The two teachers survived for the entire ordeal, but one died in the ambulance and the other died at the hospital, after bleeding out for 1hr and 26 minutes. Both of them and all of those kids would be alive if the "cops" had ended it when they first spotted the perp walking toward the school with his gun. It would have been a 148yd shot which the "cop's" firearm could have easily done.
Strange that it took "cops" 3 minutes to run 148yds into the school to engage the shooter (which they didn't), but, even after arrival, except for one cop, they just hung back, protecting themselves and let it happen.
There were so many "LEOs" (so-called) on that scene I can't even count them all, but their own lives were more important than children who were being slaughtered while they did nothing. This is what people get for dialing 911.
So, after all of the finger pointing is over, 50 to 100 (more??) poser "cops" do the walk of shame for the rest of their lives while they work sweeping the streets of Disneyland or flipping burgers at McD's.
Contrast that with Eli Dicken who (it has now been determined by LE review of the time line video) required only 15 seconds, by himself, reacted immediately to the threat, valued the lives of others before considering his own safety, knew he had the ability to do something, took the initiative, first shot fired from 30 yards away (YARDS!) which hit the perp (wow! That's great shooting in that situation and from that distance), total of 8 hits out of 10 Eli fired hit the target ..... done in only 15 seconds from the first shot by the perp.
8 of 10, 30yds, 15 seconds ...... Remarkable!
Eli had NO formal training, no military experience, but he cared about saving lives of others, used what he had to get it done and displayed more tactical expertise than the "trained" "LE".

From what I've seen the Greenwood police chief greatly admires this young man.
He'll be acclaimed as a hero for the rest of his life.

Please note that the "cop" who had the Uvalde shooter in his sights and asked for permission to fire instead of putting him down, was asking this just after the perp had already begun by firing at the two funeral home employees that were going to the shooter's aid since they had seen him drive his vehicle into a ditch. The shooter showed his "appreciation" for their concern as he exited the vehicle and fired on them. You can see them running away in the surveillance video that Mike Glover reviews.

What that young man in Indiana displayed was the ability to keep his head in a crisis...something that is rather rare today, in fact we seem to encourage people in our society to lose their composure even for trifling difficulties. Needless to say he also displayed just plain courage, another virtue that is discouraged in our sick society. I have always found it amusing that in Russia they teach methods to stay calm in a combat situation, whereas in the US we try to develop methods that work, more or less, when we are losing our heads. You can guess which method I prefer. Would like to train in Russia someday, now probably not best time, eh?

Most men in a situation like this would be looking to get in there and save these kids....one man with a pair of balls could have possibly ended this very quickly, even at the loss of his own life
I'd rather be dead than know that instead of doing something, I stood around outside instead of making an attempt to save these poor kids
How the hell could they stand around outside while hearing gunshots and kids screaming ?
