This method of exercise needs to be taught as a mandatory subject in American schools... I haven't researched this, but wasn't it taught, or a version of it, in the past in US? From what I remember while growing up within the NYC area while attending the public school system we were given ‘gym class’ every day, where we were taught calisthenics along with rope climbing and a few other exercises. Usually after the exercise session we participated in some type of physically demanding ‘game’ like Dodgeball or Kickball, or Crab Soccer, etc. I believe it was during these classes that I developed a love for physical exercise that continues to this day, many decades later.

This is really great brothersteve....but they are building the wrong kind of muscle ! There isn't a Transformetrics 50 foot long strap or a Bullworker anywhere in sight The Bullworker wasn't invented yet but I do see kettlebells and weighted 'medicine' balls, two of the tools that I use in attempt to stave off decrepitude while building / maintaining FUNCTIONAL FITNESS... As opposed to non functional fitness of course. It's the method that Magnum and I teach, m8s.

We had gym everyday through grade 6. Grades 7-9, we had the option of 2 or 3 days/wk. High school was a small school and we were required to play team sports at least 2 of the 3 season and the fall season was mandatory for all. They did have 2 non sport offerings in fall and spring; one was called the ropes course similar to this stuff as participants were hooked up into a belay and did all sorts of tree to tree rope walks and tree/pole climbs (Billfish would have loved this). At the end of the season they would go to a mountain and hike it and camp overnight.
The other was a general exercise class of freehand cals and aerobics with rope jumping and or step ups 4 days a week and 1 day each week of weightlifting on a universal circuit.
