If the new invention of statewide or national lockdowns were such a success why are the countries with high case numbers not in lockdown?
After all, leading scientists around the world have been banned from Twitter and Facebook, lost consultancy work with top pharma companies and lost friendships for criticising the lockdowns so surely lockdowns must be the answer?
Even the hermit kingdom of New Zealand is not going to have a lockdown when the case numbers start rising there.

How does that make a difference? Lockdowns were the answer. Ardern told us so before.
(Zero covid strategy) Australia has never had so many people dying per day as they have now but we haven't had a lockdown in months in Melbourne (World record for days in lockdown). Why not?
I remember the politicians telling us that we needed lockdowns because even if it saved one life then it was worth doing. Why are they not doing it now? Is it because the lockdowns cause more harm than good just like the scientists banned from Twitter tried to tell everyone?
None of the pro lockdown politicians are going to admit it.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said Thursday an outbreak was inevitable and the nation would tighten restrictions as soon as one was detected.
But she also said that New Zealand would not impose the lockdowns that it has used previously, including for the delta variant.
"This stage of the pandemic is different to what we have dealt with before. Omicron is more transmissible," Ardern said.
