I know some guys like different stuff like this. I always liked the suitcase deadlift.

I've done quite a bit of hunting and I cannot recall ever having to pick up something that way while doing it.

I use to have a DVD that Pavel made about bullet proofing Your body. One of the exercises in it was a twisting deadlift with a light KB. I believe it was 18lbs. He said he got the exercise from a hockey player. Another thing he said which I agree with was unlike in a weight room in real life You will not always be able pick stuff in perfect form.

Don't get me wrong now. I like Mark Wildman and some of the info he puts out. That may very well be a way to get more out of a light KB if that is all you have, but it's a trick and not an exercise or a lift. Also, the word hunter in the name is simply how "combat" or "tactical" is added to many things to make them sound more relevant and/or cool.

Yeah I agree Deuce and I get it. I didn't really like the twisting one at the end. I got decent size KBs for suitcase Deadlifts especially if I keep good form and tension. Sort of like a suitcase carry standing still.
They other deadlift was pretty much a suitcase lunge. I like doing reverse lunges holding the KB in a suitcase, racked, or overhead position.

"Bullet proofing your body" , Pavels next dvd will show you how to develop traps into nuclear bunkers either side of your body.

I think that, unfortunately, there will be people who will injure themselves trying to duplicate this poser's circus tricks.
