Some of these guys may be more into pipe than you dare i say. Look at that Pipe Wing Chun Dummy. Although it is more than pipes just threaded together.

I hope I am not too predictable Bruce. When I am missing the exalted Kahuna, I try to post an interesting pipe or Bullworker item. It is easier to spot a Yeti than find a Bullworker made from pipe but I keep trying.

Wow! That is some really, really well made stuff. And they also show how alternative attachments can be used other than threaded connections, greatly increasing design possibilities. I dare say you could build virtually any machine you could conceive of and probably save a fortune.

I do have an idea for a Bullworker type exerciser that would incorporate variable resistance with the turn of dial, but it would have to be manufactured from scratch. Maybe sometime I'll post some drawings and see if anyone picks up on it. Maybe there's an aspiring entrepreneur out there.

That would be very cool. I thought of Bruv too when I saw the plate rack made from pipe. The pipe is embedded in massive chunks of concrete for stability via the Earth. I am not an expert thought, it could be Quickrete.

If you don't already, you should make stuff to sell. You could make a mint with all the lockdown/quarantine keeping people out of gyms. Also, people want this stuff when times are good for home use.

For the oast year, thought about building something along the lines of the X5 with variable springs but with steel cable straps as I mentioned on another thread.

The late Doug Hepbun's Dynatron from about 40 years ago comes to mind as a unique option.

The threaded pipes were not very cheap. You can buy a cheap dip station for pretty much the same money as I spent. The threaded bar version is very steady though and the main reason I built it myself was because I wanted it a certain width and a certain height. I also put vinyl hose over the horizontal pipes that I hold onto.

Need to find and take a pic and explain that setup. Hopefully, this weekend can do it.

I use an old folks walker with extended legs. About $2 to $5 at the thrift shops.
You can also use a nook, like the inside corner of a countertop or a chair with arms. When I worked in an office, my swivel chair had arms that were a bit higher than my elbows. I could lift myself entirely off the seat, completely unsupported except by my hands.

Behold, the Bruv World gym (spare bedroom) DIY dip bars and T-handle! <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> My father made this portable dip unit for me when I went off to school (1984 ?). I told him how I wanted it made and left it to him to devise the plan. It does need 2 belts connected to each other wrapped around the top bars so they won't open away from each other when a person dips on them. The belts made it so could do wide or narrow dips. Stored it under my bed. He said the items to build cost him about $90 back then. I taped the grip areas, which have worn away. Almost 40 years and still good shape. At a little over 200 lbs I could strap 80 lbs to me and do reps, need strong leather belts to hold the bars and need to have them on carpet to grip bottoms.
