This is a log to track my progress towards growing my calves over the next 3 months. It was decided between me, my grandfather and my brother we would have a little bet. My grandad who is 80 years old has strong calves for his age and is worrying about them becoming too weak an observation he has made whilst walking the dogs over hills. Anyway me and my brother had a little bit of banter with us calling him "Girly calves" (Just so you know he calls us pussies and bitches 24/7 this isn't a bully thing ) and he went and got a measuring tape, it turns out we're all similar I'm at 16.5 inches, my bros calves are 16.5 inches and my grandads calves are 17 Inches, after listening to him bang on about us now having "Girly calves" I made a bet that by march I would have bigger calves. So here we are, £300 is the Prize fund 3 contestants and a bloody good excuse for me to keep training Today: 10 Rounds of 10 kettlebell swings followed by a 20 yard farmers carry - No rest. 3 minute rest 3 Rounds of 20 yards Farmers carry on toes followed by 20 yard Waiter carry (?) on toes - About a minute rest between rounds. Tomorrow I plan on doing some higher volume stuff on Calves.

Just read up on it and it seems it could deffo be of big help, I will add it in small amounts so I don't end up having an explosive toilet trip ! thanks a bunch

I know it sounds silly but because I walk to work which is 3 miles away I don't feel like this is much of a workout tbh. I will get more done as my body gets stronger cheers mate!

I wish my work was that close because I would walk to. I don't have time to walk that much but wish I did. That 5 mile ruck is like an hour and half or two hours right? That's plenty, quality over quanity. More is not always better. You are doing good.

I can't say I timed it, I usually do the walk to work in 45 mins at a easy going pace but recently it's been icy so I've been taking much shorter steps . I could ruck/walk all day on the surfaces I have available, If I drive a bit further out I can hit the large hills in the area which I plan on doing after the last frost next year.

Yesterday: Walking, not a lot.
Today:
Did a full days removal from a 2nd floor building carrying everything from wardrobes to kettles, was only two of us and we worked 9:30am until 5pm, so probably not going to do much else today.

How’s the feeding component going for you? Thanks mate! At this moment in time I'm trying to just concentrate on eating real food, no restrictions or anything. With it being December all the treats and shit that would probably survive a nuclear war hit the shelves and my cupboards (kids and mrs are genetically lean and get away with anything) so I'm eating food that "Sticks to ya ribs" oats, meat and potatoes, sandwiches using wholegrain bread, bit of milk, bit of butter, huge piles of mixed vegetables, garden peas and so on, mainly filling foods not necessarily low energy density but food that stops me going back to my bingeing habits of slamming a packet of cookies with each coffee/cup of tea.
