Any ideas hookers? I can just about get the rubber back over the nuts (ahem - maybe this is the wrong forum 🤣) with lots of tugging (!) but it doesn't stay there for long during use. I'm assuming some sort of glue when I have it back in position? Bit tricky to get the glue in between the ...ahem....rubber and the nuts....maybe I can....erm... pull the teat off, and squirt some goo in there... I have a hot goo gun.... Sorry - it's very hot here today. Really should stop watching female fitness videos on instagram... Seriously though folks...any ideas?

Hot water will soften the tube and you can push/pull it on. Bruce can probably tell you how long to submerge in boiling water.

You can't boil water? I'd expect a heat gun to shrink the tubing, but good luck. No, I don't know about glue. Bruce would know that too, I bet.

Reckon I can 🤣🤣🤣 Thought a gun would be easier but yes I get your point. Similar to heatshrink (which is what I use my heat gun for - that and getting cats off the grass - (so many stoned cats down here)) I reckon you are right on the Brucey front. Did email him a while back but didn't hear anything back..... I shall await his wisdom....

Fill a container with hot, scalding water, place the hook in the water and let it sit for about 30 seconds. This will soften up the plastic and heat up the metal, and you will be able to work the tubing back over the nuts.

I've managed to work it back over the nuts but it doesn't stay. Nobody has tittered in any way - I'm disappointed! 😂😂😂😂😂😂

You can put some glue on the nuts before pushing the tube back over if you want to. With the thousands of Hook gyms I've shipped out over 12 years, you are the second person who has contacted me with this. Actually, you're the third. It happened to one of my handles a few years ago. I put it back together the way I've described and it hasn't come off since.

Don't mention it.
BTW, You don't have to boil water. Just run the tap until it is scalding hot.

HEated it up and slid it back nicely, Waited till the next day and it started riding up again. Any idea what sort of glue might hold it? Something available in the UK would be handy :-)

Oh, brother...........
I have no Idea why it keeps riding up. Like I said, mine did that a couple of years ago and with one fix, it hasn't happened again. Over the years I've heard from two other people about this, and after telling them how to fix it, I never heard back again.
Type of glue? Maybe Goop. It's a thick glue that doesn't run, and it fills gaps. You could also ask your hardware guy. Tell him you want to glue plastic to steel. If it was me, I'd go for Goop. Allow it 24 hours to set up.

I suppose any glue that is strong will do.
