I would periodically submit letters to the editor of my former hometown newspaper and often they would get published. About four years ago, I decided to submit an Op-Ed article for publication in the Sunday issue of the newspaper. Soon after I submitted it, I got a call from someone from the newspaper's Editorial Board telling me that he liked it and wanted to publish it. He invited me to make future submissions and I did. For probably a three month period, I had four Op-Ed articles appear in the Sunday issue of the Sacramento Bee. It was great. I received a decent amount of hate emails but a surprisingly slightly greater amount of support email. The party suddenly ended when my contact took an early retirement and his replacement, a liberal pinko woman, didn't have an appreciation of my content. My brief career as an Op-Ed article contributor came to a screeching end but it was fun while it lasted. Here are the four op-ed articles that were published in the Sunday issue with a Sunday circulation of about 225,000: www.sacbee.com/opinion/california-forum/article134675774.htmlwww.sacbee.com/opinion/california-forum/article137537728.htmlwww.sacbee.com/opinion/california-forum/article145905374.htmlwww.sacbee.com/opinion/california-forum/article151183537.html

I'm sure you could get back in there if you write something that portray George Floyd as a Robin Hood type character.

No wonder the country's stuffed. With attitudes like this, when the Left get into some kind of power, they go far too much the other way. There's a difference between sensible capitalism and Rampant Predatory Capitalism where the dollar takes precedent over all else. That's the trouble with the States. No middle ground, it's all fascist-style employer's-dream behaviour, or socialism taken too far the other way. Should never have a medical system that you have to pay for in the first place. Obviously sole-charge GP's need to be paid by their customers, but hospitals should be paid by the govt, who collects taxes. Why should a poor soul who's been crashed into by a drunken driver and who needs hospital care have to pay anything at all ? It's a criminal offence by the drunk, he should pay for everything. At the last, the end result of RPC American-style has resulted in a country financially top-heavy with only a small minority holding over two-thirds of the wealth. It's a failure of such attitudes at the highest level of the Unites States, and the consequences show every sign of being at the highest level as well. The total debt figure rising a million dollars every seven seconds or so is another figure that nobody wants to know. 85.1 Trillion currently. 28.5 national debt. If the US dollar ever loses is reserve currency status, America is in real trouble.
