Kudos to foreigners having the desire and time to think of the USA. I spend close to zero time thinking about other countries. Does that make me selfish, stupid or something else? Whenever I think about 'foreign' countries it's never about anything other than their food and their women... Like, who would think that Kazakhstan is full of HOT women ?... Food looks like it kind of sucks though, wonder if they have good Chinese take-outs in each town ? I've been in my share of countries while in the service and always loved the variety of women

I love good Chinese food so much that I probably should have married a girl from China that knew her way around the kitchen... ...this way I could call her up on the way home from work and place my dinner order: "yeah honey, I'll be home in about 15 minutes, gimme the shrimp egg foo young with a side order of spare ribs"...

...The whole thing you've posted is a pro-Trump far right agenda, the very basic trouble that plagues America today. Those blighters are among those that have caused it. just , boy do you ever have it backwards Macky No no, I'm not like that, Mags m8. 1) Money makes the world operate 2) Money is the life blood of any country, empire etc 3) Money has claimed key members of your govt, over their ethical/electorate duties 4) Money comes from the top, not the bottom. The rules, I mean 5) Our countries' Moneymen are outside the control of any citizen's electoral vote. FedRes for example, and banks. 6) Any society needs to have a reasonable balance of wealth among the different classes of vocations etc 7) Govt is supposed to organize that in a fair and equitable way. That doesn't mean that people cannot grow rich but it shouldn't influence govt policies that pertain to full employment and welfare of The People whose labour has built our countries, not the bankers 8) The rich have become super-rich by buying govt officials, paying for their electoral fees etc, virtually placing key govt sectors in the hands of the super rich, and large donations to individual politicians, therefore influencing govt policy towards their own secular betterment 9) The effects of such longtime activities is that 1% of the American population owns 30-35% of the country's wealth, and the following 9% owns at least a further 30-34% 10) Bitching about opposition parties whoever they are does not alter the overall situation of wealth distribution, ultimately 11) Govt depts are full of incompetent bludgers who couldn't hold a job down in the private sector if they tried, compounding the problems. Worse still, there ARE some very competent govt dept people who are undermined by the incompetents who often have their own selfish agenda, or who don't understand what the competent people means 12) While the Moneymen/Super-rich hold the whip hand over the govt, the wealth disparity will only get worse, resulting in increasing unrest on all fronts as larger numbers of the middle and working classes become disenfranchised by silly govt dept decisions and rampant capitalistic plundering of the country's wealth, a two-fold problem 13) "Leftist" and "Far right" terms are convenient for rough descriptions under normal conditions regarding political leanings but have become over-focal points for the reasons why the country is in trouble.

........ You can ignore the opinionated comments, ........... Yes, I can and do, but can you? Yes, the facts are always right, otherwise they're not facts. Facts = truth. I've posted before that I don't worship Trump or any other man. He did at least three things of great consequence that I question, and his actions on those makes me very wary of his awareness and critical thinking at minimum. I know that no one is placed into a position of authority unless God allows it, so I support and pray for the person holding that position, no matter party. Unfortunately, as I mentioned, Joe has been thoroughly disappointing so far - I thought he might be a very bad choice, but he has far exceeded any apprehensions I had. I suspect, like you, if this show's purpose is to bring Trump back to relieve the country of the oppression of Joe? That's possible. Never the less, what has transpired is presented in that OANN vid, along with the rigt-side spin that you mention. No problem, I can ignore the opinionated comments. I know, mikey. I was answering to Matey's request. But I cannot go with the "God allows it" even though I think the best of your prayers for the better etc. The Creator gave Man dominion over the Earth, and Man is responsible for the state of the planet. So far, we're not doing very well. The adoration of false values, the pollution we're collectively causing, fighting on all fronts, mind control etc. Smith was right, we're a virus, a plague. The only way Mankind is going to get out of this is by working together. Sort the ones out that want to be leaders and hold them to it, working for everybody, not secular interests whether religious, military, financial or racial. There's still plenty of room for individual expression. I've said it way back on here. An army of ants don't fight against each other, they move as One. And the greatest beasts of the jungle run before them.

That's what many Americans are. Not selfish or stupid, just geo-centric, even if they are travelled. It comes from living in a country that has been the global prime mover and shaker of at least the bulk of the 20th century. Other countries look to America for many reasons. They have to. America has dictated the play since at least the second world war (even before, actually), for better or worse. Many of us have grown up with virtually only two countries to look up to, the US and the UK. Thank Upstairs there was enough Scottish influence in NZ to at least modify the class systems and inherent racial superiority of the Germanic peoples.

That's got nothing to do with what I said; in fact I explicitly said that people on the left don't like him. What the hell is wrong with you? Here's what you "explicitly" said... Blah Blah Blah (in a Scottish accent)... "Hardliners on the left and right"... Blah Blah Blah As Joe Biden himself often says, "Here's the thing"... or ... "Now look"... Whether the "hardliners" or anyone else on the left likes him or not, they have an agenda to follow, and are also afraid of being 'canceled' if they don't follow the program. They may or may not "like" Biden, but they absolutely HATE Trump, and that's the simple answer to your question. Now go eat some smoked salmon and oatmeal and calm yourself down... My point is that I don't think they are afraid of being "cancelled", because again the minority who would do that already have nothing but contempt for Biden and Harris. Those people aren't part of a big conspiracy; they don't want this guy in power. Honestly, I could have said almost anything at the start of this thread and so long as I had a few buzz words in whatever order every reply would have been the same.

But anyway, and more importantly, after reading the way you spelled "cancelled" as opposed to my 'canceled' I went and looked up which way is correct... Seems that both of us are ! 'Canceled' or "Cancelled"? There's no need for a rain check. What to Know While both 'canceled' and "cancelled" are acceptable for the past tense of cancel, the version with one L is more common in American English, while the version with two L's is more common in British English. American English typically only doubles the consonant when the stress is on the syllable attached to the suffix, as in remit and remitting. www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/canceled-or-cancelled

I looked for a thread about "cancel culture" so I wouldn't need to tag onto something unrelated or start a new one. This is the thread I found that i think will be appropriate? Check out John Cleese on "woke culture":
