I got this orange press a few weeks ago. With it I can quickly fill a glass bottle with fresh squeezed orange juice. It crushes the orange halves using a cam-lock mechanism. To push that handle down to where it locks takes a considerable amount of effort, and the handle moves slowly downward as you push on it. You really feel it in your triceps. I've been replenishing my OJ supply twice a week. I use 10 oranges to fill a bottle. That's 20 halves. That's 10 mega triceps pushdowns on each arm, twice a week. I think that this alone constitutes a triceps regimen. Nothing beats Real Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice!

If you run out of oranges, what happens to your triceps regimen ? Does it go to seed ?

If you run out of oranges, what happens to your triceps regimen ? Does it go to seed ? As long as we have both intersections with stoplights and Mexicans in the USA, we'll never run out of oranges. If there were a shortage of oranges, they would only be at every other intersection rather than all of them.

I showed that contraption to my next door neighbors 89 year old Polish grandmother with the 18+ Inch upper arms and a grip so strong she can crush a potato, and she just burst out laughing like only a typical Eastern European octogenarian can.... 😁

This thread has inspired me to disable my power steering.

I respectfully disagree. Maybe it's the oranges I'm using. It does take a significant effort to push that handle down. If it didn't I wouldn't have posted this. I would have just said I got a great orange squeezer.

If I were a connoisseur of freshly squeezed OJ I'd probably get one, but I'm sure that these people just don't understand why we'd need such a device (?)...

I had been using this hand squeezer for a few years: With it I squeezed an orange every morning. There were a number of oranges that required a serious effort using both hands to squeeze the orange all the way. That's why I decided to get this lever squeezer. On the day I got it my daughter was here. I wanted to amaze and astound her. So I set an orange half in my hand squeezer and told her to squeeze it. She gripped the handles with both hands and couldn't do it. So I said, "Behold!" I pulled out my new Zulay and placed the orange half on it and proceeded to pull down the handle. I was expecting it to be one, easy movement. But the handle came to a stop a few inches down, and I had to get on it and push down hard to get it all the way down. My daughter didn't notice the effort it had taken. That poor orange half didn't stand a chance. BTW, in looking for an orange press, there were others that were a lot less expensive than the Zulay. I got the Zulay because it listed a lot of features that were better made than the less expensive models. I figured this would be a once in a lifetime investment, so I shelled out the additional bucks. And just as an addendum to this amazing saga, I had once gotten an electric orange squeezer. It worked beautifully, but the problem was that it took longer to clean the thing than it did to squeeze an orange. If I was making a batch, I had to stop and clean it after every second orange. That's when I got my hand squeezer shown above. To clean it, I only had to hold it under some hot water. Cleaning the Zulay is also very fast and easy, and I don't have to clean it until I'm done squeezing all my oranges.

I've never tried cleaning any appliance with hat water.

I thought it might be to cap everything off when you're finished. <paging Mags>

Stop it! Yer killin' me!
One final word. Based upon my years of extensive orange squeezing, I know that some oranges are relatively easy to squeeze, and that others are a struggle.

In other words, an apt comparison to women.
