Too much probably would. Just enough would probably be great. Every individual must find out what is their proper level.

I just watched the first 5 minutes, so unless he changes his position, I agree. It doesn’t matter what the activity is, weightlifting, bodybuilding, football, baseball, tennis, golf, ballet, anytime someone attempts to be the best in the world there will be cost of pushing their body to the limit. Strength training would benefit everyone, strength training taken to the elite level is going to take it’s toll on a person’s body. Then there is also those who misapply strength training protocols with “No Pain, No Gain” or the “Go Big or Go Home”!

This may have been posted here before but it touches on this topic. www.strongfirst.com/the-cost-of-adaptation/"Back to sports. If you choose to excel in a sport, you must face the fact that your decision has nothing to do with health. You are going to rob Peter (your resistance to illness and your ability to excel in other pursuits) to pay Paul (your sport). In elite sports, where the body performs at the edge of its capacity and all resources must be thrown at the “war effort,” there can be no other way."
