For the past 8 years I've eaten just 2 meals a day keto / carb backloading . Carbs make me ravenous ! If i eat even a slice of bread it will trigger constant hunger for the rest of the day . I usually eat my first meal around 1 or 2 which is usually a 4 egg omelette with cheese and bacon then right after i have 3 Brazil nuts with 2 squares of 85% dark chocolate then my second meal around 8 to 9pm is some kind of fatty meat with veg potatoes and maybe rice .

I know what you mean re bread. I’m the same. Do you use a lot of caffeine to get through the fasting period? I used to fast and drank a lot of coffee. But I find the coffee on an empty stomach now causes heartburn so I had to stop. The lack of caffeine now makes it a challenge for me to fast.

To be honest i stopped drinking coffee about 5 years ago because it really sets off my anxiety and messes with my sleep . If i lack energy for a workout it's because i didn't backload enough carbs the night before , strictly keto makes it hard to do intense workouts for me so i make sure i get enough carbs on the night which is usually around 100 to 150 grams of starchy carbs and mainly from white potatoes .

If I was to eat carbs during the day then my fast wouldn't last 5 minutes. I keep to 0 carbs during the day and it makes fasting a breeze !

Pancakes, syrup & lentils. Hunger is not a problem.
