Just seen this. One of my fav songs of the day. "You just call on me Brother...."
I suppose there are some like myself who define much of the memories of their life experiences by the contemporary songs and instrumentals of the day, and Lean On Me was a comfort and impetus to the situations I was facing at that time, both good and not so good.
It's significant that although we have some brilliant examples of very clever musical compositions in our memory-banks, it is those simple tunes like this one, with words that amplify the emotions when sung in such a soulful way touch the heart, where really good music should always be felt.
You done it, Bill. And you done it good.
