Who is set due to gyms being closed? Im extremely happy that I have been working out at home and have invested in a really good set up. Anyone else set up?

I suspect that gyms have something those guys want that the guys here don't need ....... and not necessarily equipment. Lots of info on the www about how to do the same thing as in a gym, but do it privately. If they have the desire, they'll figure it out.

After this is all over, many people are going to figure out they don't really need to go where they think they need to go to do the things they like to do. It's going to apply to much more than just fitness.

Hell, they could probably spend years exploring this forum's "Training Publications, Manuals, Courses" section. GRUNT & SHEN'S WORKSHOP for DIY equipment.

I don’t do a good job working out at home, I need to go somewhere.

I like to go to a different place too, but will get by at home fine. Planning to do mostly isometrics with straps and maybe some resistance bands.

Went on a 6-mile run yesterday at one of my favorite parks. The breath of fresh air was wonderful and the run tamed my Chinese Coronavirus beast. Slept last night like a drunk sailor who got sucker punched in a nightclub brawl.

I work out at home and have plenty of gear, including all available Sierra products, already.

The gym that I use is still open, although I suspect it will close soon. They have been encouraging extra precautions: they won't lend you a towel any more, they have a box of disposable latex gloves so we can take a pair, and there are a couple of industrial size buckets of wipes in the main gym. I think the gloves would be quite sweaty, and I don't like gloves for workouts anyway - I like to feel the steel in my hands. They are looking after their customers, although the numbers of people going is down.
My dance classes have stopped for at least two weeks.
I work in a college, which I suspect will close Friday and we'll have to work from home. Now that it is a bit warmer, I'll be out in the garage lifting my own weights. I'll have to dust them off, as they haven't been used since last October.

I went to a gym one time in my life as a guest. I didn't like the atmosphere. Ever since then I trained at home. I have everything I need and want in my basement. I have an old power rack with a pullup and dip bar set up, DBs, KBs, benches, trap bar, other miscellaneous stuff, and all available Sierra products. I may go for a run, walk or jump rope outside.

I’ve got everything I need to strength train at home:
pull-up bar dip stand. trap bar w/330 lbs of plates. 50 lb weight vest. And...... the Hook.
plus, I can still go hiking/ climbing in nearby red rock canyon.
Let’s all count our blessings and make the best of the current environment.
