I'm sorry. I've re-read this several times, but not sure I understand what you're asking, nor that I have seen or heard anything that would give a clue to an answer. Sorry I'll try to be more clear. Covid 19 is a new corona virus, of a large family of coronaviruses that cause the common cold, for example, as we know. What then is a positive test actually picking up (as against a negative test), given your assertion that Covid 19 tests are meaningless ? The so called PCR test isn't really a test but it is being used for testing. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polymerase_chain_reactionIn other words they take a sample and amplify it. The more the sample is amplified, the more chance of finding a positive result for SARS-CoV-2. It can't detect how infected a person is.

One thing to the survivability rate is high. But... people think because of that, no problem, I'll get it, get over it and life goes on. My cousin is a nurse and the biggest group she sees is the 18-25 year old bar crowd. They get it and get over it, but some have lung or heart damage that they get to keep for the rest of their lives as a consolation prize. Kind of like with the flu where some people end up with long term health problems. www.nature.com/articles/s41598-017-17497-6The thing to remember is that only a small percentage of people get hospitalised for flu or covid-19 and most of them will recover fully. There's loads of things out there that can kill you. Be brave, m8.

Btw, while we are on the subject of the flu. It looks like the CDC may have been cooking the books after all.

I just don't like bullshit, institutionalized, corporate, or urban myths.

Also, as everyone is probably aware by now, Trump was spot on about Hydroxychloroquine. Turns out it was used during the SARS CoV (1) fifteen years ago as both a prophylactic and a treatment and is being used along with zinc by thousands of doctors now. 1. Isn't it strange that Trump's not ranting on about it then ? He's not short of ranting about everything else. 2. Where's all these "thousands" of doctors using the stuff anyway ? Why aren't they gathering as a solid group like many other concerned professionals do when there are things that need to be said, and brought to the public's attention ? Is everybody gutless ? 1. Yes, this is a question that nags me about Trump. Why does he not throw the switch on that? I don't know. 2. The ones who have spoken up have been censored, m8.

One would have thought that at least Trump would be on about it on Twitter. He's on there often enough. 2. Hang on. I thought America was the land of freedom and democracy ? You know, freedom of speech and all that. Besides, enough doctors with guts banding together are hard to silence by threats of de-registration when there's enough of them. Sounds like as usual, even Trump plus professional GPs are being silenced by Big Money's influence on public departments. That's another reason why I rave on about how large corporates virtually run the govt outside of any democratic vote by the People. Big Pharma puts the pressure on the heads of regulatory bodies to undermine cheap substances that work, so they can "discover" a vaccine that ensures the next CEO's and Directors large bonuses and fringe benefits for the next year. And we go on about China ?

According to a Belgian study just published, using a low dose of HCQ. "Conclusions Compared to supportive care only, low-dose HCQ monotherapy was independently associated with lower mortality in hospitalized patients with COVID-19 diagnosed and treated early or later after symptom onset." The Oxford and WHO studies used very high doses which did nothing helpful for the patients. In fact the doses they used were double the recommended dosage for this drug according to the info on the British National Formulary site which is what pharmacists and doctors go by in the UK. The Belgian study. www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0924857920303423

NZ Herald reports : "two cheap and widely available drugs have been found to help save patients critically ill with Covid-19, international research involving New Zealand experts has concluded.
The steroid treatments have proven major breakthroughs in the fight against the deadly virus, with fewer patients dying and less intensive care unit (ICU) support needed, compared to usual treatment.
"It's proven to be the most effective treatment," said Dr Colin McArthur, intensivist and researcher at Auckland City Hospital who leads the New Zealand arm of the trial and is a co-author of the World Health Organisation meta-analysis, published today in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
The drugs, hydrocortisone and dexamethasone, cut the risk of death for those needing ICU care by 20 per cent, with one extra patient surviving for every 11 treated.
The findings reinforced the United Kingdom-based RECOVERY trial, published in July, which found dexamethasone cut the risk of death by a third for patients on ventilators, and a fifth for those on oxygen.
Researchers said had that drug been used to treat patients in the UK from the start of the pandemic, up to 5000 lives could have been saved.
Since then many hospitals around the world adopted dexamethasone as part of their usual care for severely ill patients with Covid-19.
McArthur said they'd now confirmed hydrocortisone was just as effective."

I've been listening to Jason Gallant for quite while and during the past several months, I've been binge watching him. I came across this from July 25, 2020. Since he is talking about experience vs information in general terms of living life, I'm posting it here because I think it may be an applicable summary to this thread.

As at 1425 16 Sept. NZ time, Worldometer records 200,197 Covid 19 deaths in the US.
Congratulations Donald. You've reached a new milestone. You said it would just go away, didn't you ? As leader of the most (so far) powerful nation on the planet, you've got a lotta blood on your hands.
By the way, there's a few fires over on the West coast you might like to pay a bit more attention to. I'm sure those who have lost loved ones and their properties are not consoled by your assurances that "It'll start getting cooler. You just watch"........not to mention those heroes by the thousand, of the Red Watch who continue to fight the flames.
