Saw that on the news last night and celebrated the good news with a medium-rare porterhouse.
I've cut down my egg consumption to a couple a day - from 20 - and added chicken to my diet, but for the first time in decades, my daily carb intake exceeds my protein and fat consumption.

I'm at the point where I don't even bother to pay any attention to all these studies....don't eat red meat, don't use salt. carbs are bad, don't GMO etc etc And fast forward a few years and they change their stance

Fast, just curious. Why did You make Your carb intake exceed Your protein and fat consumption? Have You seen any changes in health, performance or visual?

For some people that are trying to start a journey back to health, some of these articles can make them spin their wheels. I just try to listen to my body on nutrition. I've learned through my own experimentation. Just because some say one way is better than anything else doesn't make it true for everyone. Genetics and health situations probably make everybody's diet situation different.
I eat red meat occasionally. When I do now, because of Mikey and Pierini, I eat good meat. When I eat it, my wife makes "Olla de Carne". That's a Costa Rican dish that translates to a "pot of meat." Plenty of vegetables in it. I do prefer a meditarian diet. I eat occasional fish and chicken also. But most of my diet leans more vegetarian with a higher intake of carbs. This is what I like and feel good on.

The anti-meat cartel would have us believe a highly processed veggie patty is healthier than a meat patty . Perhaps neither is the best choice ; eat beans instead?

I love me some red meat ! I have eaten a primal diet for the past 10 years and my health is in tip top condition ! Red meat along with all other meats are a health food just make sure it's high quality grass fed sourced.

Fast, just curious. Why did You make Your carb intake exceed Your protein and fat consumption? Have You seen any changes in health, performance or visual? I had done something similar quite a few years ago where my diet was comprised of mostly vegetables and fruits, no dairy, fish twice a week, beans, nuts, oatmeal, and it was a disaster...my skin broke out, I lost strength - a lot of strength - lost weight alright, and muscle, my gut was in almost constant turmoil - I never felt "right," and people said I took on a gray pallor...I survived this ordeal for almost 8 months before I reverted back to my low-carb/high fat/protein diet, and within a couple weeks I felt like a million bucks. So, I'm trying that diet again. I started September 6th, and so far my experience mirrors what I went through before. I was going to do this through Thanksgiving, but I don't know if I'll make it to Halloween, to be honest.

For me, this is a good video. Everyone is not after the same goal but what he says makes sense to me. It's pretty much what I believe, not one way is perfect for everyone.

I don't see any contradiction between this info and what Jason Gallant says: "There is no right or wrong, there is only what's right for you." Duh, yeah, if you eat shit food like processed anything - commercial feed lot meat, battery cage chickens or farmed fish, don't expect a good outcome.

My two cents on this is to eat what you enjoy but just eat as little as possible to be strong and fit capable of fully living the lifestyle you desire.
