I just posted this because for me it's more proof that weights don't really bust You up. You bust Yourself up by what You do with any type of training. I know some will say he's on something but I don't care, thought it was motivating.

Agreed, it's the way people train which wipes you out. This can be dine without weights as well, any style of training can damage you if your not careful, but a certain white trousers man will insist it's only weights that cause it.

Hahaha. Very definitely those so called 'natural movements' can injure you too. When I was younger, everybody 'knew' that muscle turned to fat when you stoooed training, weights wrecked your joints and slowed you down etc. Those of us who trained already knew, but now the world has caught up and knows weights are good for your body. How you lift is a major factor, but I also believ good form butcheavy weights over decades can take it's toll, but the way I see it, there are tons of people in their 49s,50s, 60s etc with bad backs and knees and so on, who did not lift weights, so what have we got to lose.

I think whether or not someone is "healthy" as an older strength trainer comes down to two equally important things. 1. What you do. 2. Genetics that negate or don't negate your choice for thing number one.
Obviously it's better to pick exercises that typically don't bother aging joints, but there are certainly those that "get by" seemingly unhampered by what they do.
The key is to understand your ownself and proper biomechanics and try to live within the boundaries of each.
Oh, and you have to wear white jeans.

More amazing than this gentleman’s body appearance, conditioning and strength at age 63 years is that his hair and mustache doesn’t have one streak of gray or white hair. I’m jealous but realize can’t have it all.

He colors his hair. But he does have a very thick head of hair for his age.
