Something occurred to me - Trying to learn health, fitness, strength and exercise from "men's" magazines is like trying to learn to fight by watching John Wayne movies.

I didn't think of that angle before about those John Wayne movies. I thought I was just a slow learner. Is that why I always get my ass kicked in bar fights?

Well you was using the wrong men's magazines IMO, I used Playboy, and Hustler etc............ and I got great results going for the pump

The easiest way to deal with a 300lb bully, is to get his 90lb wife to put him in his place. Running is the best form of self defense. I can run. I just take my M8 from another forum with me, he can lay out those ruffians single handed.

I enjoyed the magazine's, okay you have to find the good amongst the piles of bad.
I bought Flex magazine and copied the Mike Quinn training routine, in the 20 questions section. It was an excellent program.
Then one day I bought Muscle & Fitness magazine in which they did an article on giant sets. There I learnt a very painful thigh routine from it. One of the most painful I have ever done.
So there have been some really good ones out there but also a load of bull.
