I think I know the answer for most here. I've trained alone for a long time. Even though I now have a distant training partner, I've always prefer to train alone.Years ago I had a training partner and yes we would push each other. What about You?

Yes. Did years with training partners at the gym, made good progress but these last 15 years plus, trained alone. I prefer it my way, my schedule, my pace and I can motivate myself just fine, it is not so much a matter of psyxhing up and aggression these days, I have to be smarter and traon wiser.

Alone. Exercise is meditation done in motion for me.

I just came from a hot salt bath. Mmmmmm, feelin' groovy.
I really liked Deuce's comment, obviously, but my addition would be that this question is NA to me for a number of reasons. If you're interested, I'll try for a bullet list, but the bath has me feeling comfortably numb right now.

I've been use to training alone for many years and whenever I have training partners, I make the most of it. Some people I've trained with were total idiots and it makes me appreciate more of being able to train by myself. Every now and then it's nice to train alongside someone who can motivate you and have a similar style.

I’m a one-man band at the fitness bar.

Many years ago I occasionally did Manual Resistance Training( a partner supplies the resistance) . Such training can be effective and superior to self resistance training . Of course an overzealous partner may injure you. Any-who I'm currently a solo trainer .

I workout each morning with my training partner - old time rock & roll.

Yes alone. I think most of us here on the forum are the rare types with high self motivation for solo training.

I train alone because my workouts are fast, with less than a minute rest between sets. If I am supersetting pullups and dips, the rest is the time it takes to walk bewteen the pieces of equipment. A lot of people find it difficult to keep up that pace. They like to chat between sets; I don't - chat is for change rooms.

Alone ! i do what I want and if I want to do something differently, no problem Years ago, a friend suggested that we run together, but it didn't work out We both wanted to run different routes, speeds etc.... it didn't last long Sometimes while training, I'll get an idea for doing something or doing something differently.....by myself, I can stop and change what I'm doing I've x-country skied, did fast walks with a pack on, ran etc.....always alone and liked it that way No partners....no problems

I prefer alone, it is like a prayer, more intimate Sometimes I train with machines at a friend's gym with him and is fantastic: we work out fast between exercises, good and slow form and encourage each other.
