I feel like the hook handles are a great forearm builder especially in pulling exercises. The handle is rotating so it wants to roll out of your hand unless you curl your wrists in. I always have a great forearm pump after my rows or lat pulls. My forearms used to give up before my lats or traps when I started out. I still feel it in my forearm flexors during and after each back workout. Also when I do facepulls the extensors of my forearms get worked a lot.

"Rolling Thunder" is similar to The Hook, but not as good.

I don't think the hook handles really rotate much? I've got older versions though, maybe the new ones are different.

Just looking at the pictures, and having owned Sierra hooks for a number of years, I like what Bruce came up with. Bruce's hooks are much simpler, more elegant, and better designed. I think the whole concept is quite ingenious.

I have the hook handles that are as big as rolling thunder. Just shy of 2 inches in diameter.

Hence, THE HOOK

What've they done for your forearms?

I do various things for forearms and large handled things are part of it. I mentioned before that I lost a bunch of weight, which you can see in the loose skin on my upper arm.

Wow! Great forearms!
Yeah, I know all about loose skin. Starting to get a bit. I like it, though. Makes you look older.
