What are some of the exercise myths we should be aware about ? I think the first myth is "we can get phenomenal physique comparable with bodybuilders without drug assistance." The second is "more is better". ....No pain, no gain... Higher testosterone level inside the natural range encourages muscles to grown bigger ...Some proponents of the self-resistance training suggest that the repetition number should be high (sometimes > 100 reps).

Yeah. TUT is TUT. That's what muscles respond to, time under tension. They don't recognize high reps, low reps or no reps. They don't recognize 1 set or 100 sets. They don't recognize full ROM, partial ROM or no ROM. They don't have a clue what tool you're using or not using to create the tension. For the purpose of building muscle, they only respond to time under tension (and, obviously, good nutrition and sufficient rest). Nothing else.
Mr. Potatohead addressed many exercise myths in this post.

masturbation causes blindness Dunno 'bout that. Seems that it's getting harder and harder to see well enough to shave my palms, but maybe I'm just getting old.

Don't lift weights as you'll get too big and bulky.

Exercise findings from Soviet Russia or prison inmates simply have to be superior.

High reps are for "cuts".
Calisthenics are more natural than weights.
Weightlifting is dangerous.
I have started lifting weights but I don't want to look like a bodybuilder.
